Yoshi did apologize for the confusing statement he made last year.

But yeah, people really need to understand more on server development. Even if you buy the equipment, it's pointless if you can't stretch 100% full capacity out of them, specially without issues... I use to work as a freelance artist before for a medium sized company and it took the company over a year to fully install their new server. At one point it seems to work, next thing you know there are bugs. *sigh*

No need to explain, accessibility is different for players. 'ANY SORT OF PLAYER'; that is wishful thinking. Did I ask anyone for a solution to make gil? No.

Money isn't made in a day, it requires effort. I put in that effort, I made my way to my goal. I make a minimum 20k day, sometimes hitting over 100k. I even bought all my favorite vanities.

How?

Because I wasn't some lazy prick. I work hard in rl to feed myself. So I do the same in-game to fulfill my goals. Nothing special.

I am a average player, I work 13 hours a day and play 3 hours a day dedicated to earning gil. I stopped playing for half a year because of work, I came back during the Anniversary event. I had about 200k gil in my bank at that time.

It ain't impossible. People who say it's hard to make gil in this game are lazy. I play goddamn 3-4 hours a day max on weekdays, a lil longer on weekends. I still made plenty.

Casual is being able to spend 3-4 a days with it? I am casual, I have enough time to spend around 5 hours a week playing this because of real life and family. 3-4 hours a day is around 25 hours a week, that is a good a good chunk of time dedicated to the game. I've been playing since day one off and on, barely have a level 50 and less than 200k gil. I don't see myself ever being able to afford personal housing.

I guess some people are just not ment to participate in it.

Getting back on Thread Topic. We should just have Apartment Building styled homes. Yes I know its been mentioned already on a thread or two, I'm just further supporting the idea.

If I had it my way we would've had an instanced, privatized home to ourselves that isn't part of a community ward whatsoever... folding them into the current layouts/neighborhoods is pretty weak IMHO.

What if your housing is instanced, and you get to choose the backdrop beyond the garden fence?

This pretty much should have been an option IMO.

Like a secluded glade with an entrance that is a path that fades away as it stretches off to nowhere. Maybe with a pond, a couple of additional paths to small dead ends in the woods or to a cave, a large plot of land that you could build/expand your house on (ideally with out-buildings and with the interiors in the same instance as the exterior) and NO RISK OF EVER LOSING IT.

Let people pick which approach they prefer. I'd take that over the rubbish implementation of neighborhoods we got in an instant.

I like how you pulled this fact out of thin air. Do you mean to suggest every instance in the game is on a separate machine? Every. Single. One?

Doesn't matter how long it takes to properly set up a server.

They should've started a long time ago.

Adding 2 Wards & only doubling the original Ward count by 2.4 is not adequate.
