The FFXI route is the FC rooms. Almost exactly the same minus the gardening.

Personally I like the neighborhood aspect of FC and now personal houses. Its a lot more fun then 1 personal instance.

And FFXI room is FREE!!! As well as your personal moogle island, both ARE again, FREE!! Indeed is a bit mind boggling why they are not giving everyone a FREE room and FREE personal island to garden and what not. Put it on separate servers just for this. And NO, I do not need to interact with anyone unless I want to...

There are so many great things in this game, it manages to captures what is good about WoW and mix it with FFXI (and other popular games). But with each updates, it seems they really do intent to divide the player base and with every step forward, 5 steps backward ensues... I know the game is in its growing pain stages. Which I think this is why the majority is waiting on patch 2.4 and at the latest, the next expansion. If they keep doing blunders like this, FC Housing, Atma, Hunt, Personal Housing, god knows what is coming next....

Archeage too, which also handles open world player housing. No instances for their 'neighborhoods' either it looks like.

I totally agree with OP about instanced houses . This way everyone can have one . This s..t what i saw today is total ridiculus -> every house exept 70 mil ones got bought even before i logged in (lol) , also Personal houses now mixed with FC houses area . This may lead to no matter how many plots SE will add it going to be allways bought , so there will be allways amount of players that have to live on "street" . To Devs -> reconsider personal housing ASAP !
