Logged in about 2.5 hours after servers went up and got one of the last few small plots available in the Goblet. By then, the Mists and LB plots were all taken.

I really debated buying now vs. waiting, but I'm just glad I won't have to deal with SE's infrastructure woes anymore. I feel bad though for people who are shut out even longer.

Mwuah, it might actually be of interest to them to buy up as many plots as soon as possible. The more plots in RMT guys' hands, the more they dominate farming plots. By dominating farming plots, they can dominate e.g. the onion market. And pretty much set the price on those items. That way they can get back the gil they can in turn sell again to people for buying onions. Pure marketing brilliance right?


Plus on a more serious note I don't believe it's required for people to buy gil in order to have accumulated enough gil for a large house right now. Myself I don't really bother too much with obtaining gil, but gain approximately 2 million per month in the current rate. I'm pretty sure that people who actually are bothered with it can easily net in around 20 - 30 million gil per month if desired. With the game being on the market for over a year now, I wouldn't be surprised for numerous players to have 100+ million on their balances.

I tend to make anywhere from 150k to 600k per spiritbond session, and I easily made around 5 mil over the past few weeks. So, yeah, raising 20 mil solo wouldn't be that big of a deal for someone who really wanted a bigger personal house.

It's funny, some servers pay more because they have more people and are more active but don't get more plots... funny how things work better one way than the other.

Let's forget 2 seconds the fact they are stupid enough to think 1 player should be able to pay the same as a whole group of people if he wants a plot and do some math.

Just doing the small plot for fun, there's 3 regions x 8 instances x 20 plots they intend to double this at the 2.4 so 960. Ragnarok s plots are already sold out (they were in less than 30min), so there is actually 480 plots coming at the 2.4 for more than 2k of players

I guess if you're able to log in before the 2 hours after the 2.4 you have your chances. Housing, a casual experiences so fun to blow steam... Good job SE, just keep ignoring everyone, rush content you're not able to implement. On your way to repeat the same mistake the 1.0 did.

This is exactly what i was worried about... I've never complained about the decisions they have made in this game, in fact I have defended them on many occasions even if I didnt quite understand why they did something a particular way. But this... Makes no sense. This was my last hope for getting a choco stable and home to live in, I guess its time to setup my new home.

Lots of small houses only 1.5M on adamantoise. Price isn't that much more than the ~850k they speculated.

On Legacy small is a little over 5 Mil. I have 6 mil, I'm not about to blow all that on a house when I already have two FC houses which is exactly the same. I wasn't super hyped for housing anyways but I can totally understand why people are mad about the prices & the fact they have to share wards with FCs.

I was worried about this situation as well, but then I logged in around noon eastern time, meandered over to the goblet, walked around checking out locations for about 20 minutes before finally settling on plot 15 in ward 4 for 2.4 million. I don't think any property had been purchased in the new wards yet and there were still a couple left in ward 2. It was pretty surprising.

The Goblet is the least popular of the housing zones, though... If you were to check the other housing areas on your server you'd be in for a nasty surprise.

To wit, as of this posting there are NO small houses left in Mist on my server, only 5 smalls left in Lavender Beds and...........27 smalls left in the Goblet. >__>

There is a serious dearth of housing space available, and unless you're willing to settle on a house in the Goblet (or pool together with a bunch of friends to try for a M or L in one of the other zones), you're SoL until 2.4.

Just checked mist on excalibur and all but 10 plots are gone. And checked ul'dah and gridania, both in the sam situation
