First come, First serve, this is how housing has worked since release, except since they were not as expensive they go faster, and yet people were complaining about the prices..how ironic.

Yeah I'll wake up at 7 am just to buy a house I could never even afford yet. When every single plot of land is taken leaving only multi-million gil mansions left on the market, and a TON of angry players as this update wasn't out for over an hour, and yet EVERY SMALL HOUSE that people were going to wake up and go buy one, didn't realize how half-assed SE got and decided to not even put in more wards.

Is it my fault that I want to do a thing called sleep? How is that fair that those who aren't awake at the time, get shafted for the long term without any kind of reprieve unless it's above 5mil?


Is that a fair system? First come first serve only goes so far until there's nothing left, andd when it's gone in under an hour, there's a huge problem that they underestimated the demand BIG TIME.

In my world after 3 hours from launch in Lavender Beds only 5 small houses are free. Most of houses are bought by players, not by FC

They aren't putting in the hardware for more Wards until next month... At which point they are at least doubling the Wards. Chill and wait a bit more. People were so uppity about housing the Devs probably felt forced so instead of waiting for 2.4 they put out a couple of more Wards. What the Devs need to do is not cave to player pressure.

Here's a sad fact, doubling the wards will not mitigate the fact that someone will be left out in the end. The real problem stems from the fact that the timing of the update was horrible for NA players. Most of us were asleep after getting home from class/work the prior night. If you just open the servers at 7 am again, the other players who are all nighters will scoop up the new houses that get made, and more mansions will sit empty.

Here's my solution. Remove the mansions in the new wards if by patch 2.4 a large majority of mansions remain vacant. If people aren't going to fork over 15,000,000 gil for something like that, then they won't be needed. It's as simple and clean cut as that.

With thousands of players, the amount of wards needed to be implemented is going to need to me massive. We're not talking about 8 extra wards or so here. But ultimately we're talking around 200 wards on populated servers. With hardware issues being a problem right now, I wonder how they're looking to multiply the number of wards by such a figure.

I think in your rage you forgot the important part First come, first serve just like real life if the supply of something is low and demand is high, if someone snatches it up an hour before you woke up, you can't get really get mad at the salesmen, it's not about being fair, you just didn't get it fast enough, (not you in particular)

You should know full well how updates work, if people know something will be taken fast, they will rush to it as fast as possible if they are able to get it.

I find it funny the response in the Japanese section was basically "But don't worry, prices will bottom out like with 2.1!" and I'm just sitting here thinking, "You DO know the houses will be gone well before it ever gets to that point right?"
