What happened to 800k personal housing?

I'm also pretty disappointed in this saved up 8mil thinking maybe a med house but guess small if I can even get one with only two wards added. I am already to the point of quitting the game and really only thing I get on for anymore is gardening and was looking forward to personal housing so I could have all plots to myself, but guess that was too much to ask for? Well my sub is up in a couple of months and that may be the end of it. They did this as if they only had a couple of months to plan for it. They talk about server stress, well buy new servers... Where is all the money going you're pulling in from all of us? Oh and yes he did say it would be cheaper than FC housing...

I feel terrible for you folks that wanted a personal house. After the total debacle at the introduction of FC housing, I knew they would muck it up once these were realized. Decided I didn't aspire to get one anymore upon release. Maybe they'll drop the prices after a few months...?

If you can afford the personal housing, please just wait... more Wards will be added anyways, and they will likely change the prices or something in the near future after this backlash.

Back when FC housing was added I was the second house in The Goblet on Behemoth, I paid 7.5m gil for the small house... only for the prices of small houses to go down not too long afterwards down to 2m gil. I wasn't given any of the difference back, so I suggest that people who CAN afford, just save it for now to not waste your money.

While the prices bug the hell out of me as well the main thing I can't stand is why in the hell are personal housing lumped into the same wards as FC houses?!

Sooo I'm pretty much buying an FC house pre-personal FC rooms for pretty much the same price AND I have to fight FCs for the land AND individual players...?

But this is the first time he has repeated said mistake on such a grand scale. Learning from past outings is the key in an MMO (like life) and he clearly did NOT learn from what he did back in January.

Just because we'll eventually hit the "what if" tangents soon:

If they had made prices for small houses in the current wards 850K, you'd probably have dogfights over real estate between individual buyers and free companies trying to buy their own house (where the latter would be paying a much higher price for the same thing). The relative size of the homes most likely also has something to do with why the prices have stayed as they are. People would prefer to buy their own homes and FC housing would fall out of favor.

Granted, FC housing should really be something few can do, but at the same time that gives smaller FCs nothing to truly work for. It was a tough call, though I think the real mistake was not establishing some boundaries as far as what FCs would buy and what they could not while having no secondary housing system for adventurers. I would have made it so that Large plots would be FC-only, while small plots would be player-only. medium plots would be the in-between where extremely rich individuals or FCs with some resources but not massive wealth could buy them.

As a secondary housing system, you could have something like apartment complexes or barracks established by the GCs. Think a bigger moghouse with multiple chambers but still only one floor.

This way individuals have the options of having their own apartment or buying a small/medium house if they have the money while FCs would have medium or large houses. The technology is there if the existence of private chambers in FC houses is any indication.

It is obvious that Yoshi and Square have learned absolutely nothing from the launch of this game and the release of the FC housing. To misrepresent something and then switch it at the last minute like this... AGAIN is just another slap in the face to their player base.

Thanks Yoshi for completely dropping the ball, regurgitating the same crap in a different wrapper... hell you made your entire career in this game doing that. If you weren't copying WoW you were copy pasting your own content with 'Hard' slapped on.

Sorry 98% of the players. We need to screw you over to get some RMT money out of the economy because we are so completely incompetent we can't do it any other way. But don't worry, once all the good plots are gone you can be happy to know that you can spend every gil you have saved for 6 months on a left-over piece of garbage... in the back... behind a dumpster.
