What happened to 800k personal housing?

Actually you are correct, but only barely. He actually said it would be more than 850k. This was at the niconico event in May. He spoke at length about how personal housing should be affordable. Combine that with this post back in December where he spoke of the issues regarding the implementation of FC Housing. He spoke directly to the issue of Future Personal Housing Prices. Indicating that they would NOT be the same as FC Housing prices.

I do not mind a bit higher prices. I DO mind that personal housing is MUCH more expensive than previously told. I DO mind that FC and Personal Housing are IDENTICAL. I DO mind that personal housing is merely in the "back" end of the current housing wards. I was super excited for new "personal housing wards" that were going to be different than the current wards. We have been teased about this for a while, right down to the locked gates headed towards other wards. There is a locked gate going to what a lot of believed to be personal housing wards in every city and another locked gate in every housing ward.

Yes, we are at fault for making certain assumptions, but I for one truly believed Yoshi-P flat out lied to us. This is NOT what we wanted. This is NOT what we were promised. This is exactly the same debacle as it was when he released FC housing and the community had an uproar over it. I have had complete faith in YoshiP and understand that mistakes happen. But this is the first time he has repeated said mistake on such a grand scale. Learning from past outings is the key in an MMO (like life) and he clearly did NOT learn from what he did back in January.

Saved up 4 mil, thought it would be enough for a medium house maybe enough for a small *IF* I'm fast enough. This so sucks. Was really looking forward to a personal house. I guess I should just keep saving. I don't want to be rushed to grab a plot, would like to take my time to pick one but if I do that, there won't be any left... Two wards is no where near enough, not sure what they were thinking with just the two extra wards and the prices. Why does an individual have to pay the same as a whole FC?! They should have made personal housing areas seperate from FC housing areas...

I've not been pissed off at SE for their choices with this game until now. what happened to the "cheaper than FC housing"? How is TWO measly wards going to be enough? on my server, that'll sell out within 10 minutes. This is completely fucking stupid of them. I was really looking forward to this since my FC insists on staying in the Goblet and I despise that area, I wanted to get a gridania house. Not going to happen now though.

I can't emphasize this enough. Why not offer an alternate single house instanced area that's affordable to all? The neighborhoods are cool and all but I'd rather just have my house than the neighborhood. I could enjoy that when I visit the FC HQ house.

My issue isn't the price, I even know a few people that could buy a large house. My issue is that the individual housing is shared with FC housing. On my server, there are many FCs out there that would love to snatch up even a small plot, but they have been taken for some time now. I could buy a small plot pretty easily, but if I did, I would be taking a plot that a whole FC may have used, and I'm not about to do that. Such a pity, I was really looking forward to individual housing.

I'm so flabbergasted by this whole person housing thing. Like, is this a joke... right? Right...? Every time I get excited about a new feature being added to the game, it gets ruined. It's a fine art SE has created with doing so..

Yep i have 3.2mil and even that is not enough for the smallest plot of land on my server...looks like the gil buyers and mega rich legacy players are the winners this time.

Mega poor Legacy player here, sharing your disdain about not being able to purchase a house. Maybe next year.
