How am I being mean to the OP by posting my experiences?I am being mean to you.. Funny how sensitive you are on the forums. Do I look like a new player on with a green sprout? What were you saying about new players being mean again?
Actually you are being really mean to the OP. You sure sound like one the ANGRY PEOPLE he is referring to. BTW if you want to believe that infants can be born evil, you are welcomed to that opinion too.
Also re-read your post...not sure why you are being aggressive.
What experience? Other than making some blanket statement about new players prefaced by "from my experience", probably experience confused smurf trolls with green sprouts. There is no experience you can speak of or verify. All we know is you do NOT like new players, and you would NOT even give then the benefit of the doubt.
If you believe new players deliberately want to be mean and rude and act like trolls, then you might as well believe the babies are evil. The two are clearly analogous and irrefutable. These things can happen, just like people can be hit by lightning, but to make some blanket unqualified statement like that is to ignore the fact that these things are really really on the fringe and that is not the issue and not what the OP is talking about.
Just because there could be two sides to some things, it does NOT make the two side equal. It is a false equivalence to state the new players can be mean too in response to what the OP was talking about. And blaming the OP for his problem is clearly mean, and blaming the OP because of some other troll is even worse misappropriated anger.

I never said that I didn't like new players. I never said I wouldn't give the benefit of the doubt. I never said that new players want to be mean.I never blamed the OP. You're putting words into my post because we'll...I'm not sure. Maybe to try to prove some point to yourself.
And I was vague about some newbies being mean because I'm too lazy to write up a bunch of examples.
If you got nothing better to say, sometimes it is better to not say anything.
When you post vaguely that newbies being mean, you are saying the OP is mean, or the OP is at fault. Just like lighting can strike some one or babies can be evil. This kind of false equivalence has no point other than to distract and falsely put the blame on the wrong parties. This is FUD is just cover for people to be irresponsible.
No I'm not. You're deciding that there is some sort of hidden meaning behind my words. Either way, I'm correcting you now by saying that it doesn't say or mean that. It means exactly what it says.
That's your belief. Not mine.It is a fact that it is mostly the older players, vets who are mean and rude in parties. Everyone knows this even amongst us older players we all know this except apparently you based on your original comment. Your not coming across as lazy, your coming across as misleading and applying misdirection trying to change that fact in favor of the older players despite the reality being contradictory of such a stance. .
Boy people are hellbent on creating a debate here.

And you mean that 100% of the time it is newbies being mean, because it is you qualify it with exactly nothing. You don't say rarely, you don't say 50% of the time or anything. It just say "from your experience" without any definition or qualification as to what that means. In short there is no misinterpretation of your attempt to blame the OP.
---------------
This is the false equivalence trap that you've got tricked into. Yes the both can happens, but odds of it happening is like 500 (experienced players cussing out new players, especially speed runner) to 1 (the nutty new player who thinks too highly of themselves.) The two are side are NOT remotely equal.
Irresponsible blanket statements like that is unfair and unjust and is really mean to OP.

As I said I didn't blame the OP. If you're bent on wanting to believe that then there is nothing more to say. lolAnd you mean that 100% of the time it is newbies being mean, because it is you qualify it with exactly nothing. You don't say rarely, you don't say 50% of the time or anything. It just say "from your experience" without any definition or qualification as to what that means. You are being awfully selective regarding what I said, so much so that you actually edited out the part where I stated that neither all new players or all veterans are jerks and a persons experience with these groups of players will vary. This is the false equivalence trap that you've got tricked into. Yes the both can happens, but odds of it happening is like 500 (experienced players cussing out new players, especially speed runner) to 1 (the nutty new player who thinks too highly of themselves.) The two are side are remotely equal.

That seems like a fairly open-ended statement with lots of room for variation.
Also, I have not been tricked by anything. I know the generalized breakdown of veterans being nasty vs. new players being nasty, just like I know that doing a side by side comparison is not necessarily going to yield decisive results since there are more elements to take into account such as the percentage of new players vs. veteran players as a whole, how one chooses to define whether a player is new or not (new to the game, new to the content, etc.).
Simply put my statement was laying out that both sides are neither fully right nor fully wrong and that jerks will exist within either group. Things are not black and white with this and really everyone should just try to be a nicer more understanding person.
