They (we) play the game differently.
Duty Roulette, Challenge Log, various Levequests (crafting ones being optimal), Beast Tribe dailies, Treasure Maps, even Fishing if you have any idea what to go for (Leve and Provisioning Mission objectives). The game throws Gil at you if you know where to look, and all that is before you consider serious crafting.

And playing the market if you have good business sense. They (we) play the game differently.

I made 4 million just from spiritbinding. Considering you only have a few hundred k I suggest starting out with binding gathering/crafting gear. You'll get a steadier income. Once you build up a little nest egg, start grabbing DoW gear. It's more of a gamble but you can hit it big. On Balmung one tier 4 Savage Might can go for half a million.
You can always find spiritbind parties in Urth's gift near Quarrymill or ads in the party finder.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!

Still trying to find out what gear to bind since the green Ilvl 55 crafter stuff seems to take ages to bind. >.<I made 4 million just from spiritbinding. @Topic: If there is a patch in 2 days, how come there is no information out there? Is that normal for SE?

It's normal for the between patch patches, but I would have thought they'd say something in this thread by now. But preliminary patch notes I think are only "normal" for the major patches (i.e. 2.4).

Okay... weird.. Thanks!
Don't worry about the greens any gear that's ilvl 45+ works you can actually get it from the vendors in Revanant toll.

Do all your Duty Roulette and Beast Dailies every day, and the Challenge log whenever you can. Only spend gil on repairing. Don't bother with food or materia. (You don't need any of it until you decide to do serious Coil/Extreme Primals.) If you aren't crafting yourself, sell all your crafting materials that drop from monsters on the marketboard. When your Mythology Tombstones are full and you don't need them for gear, buy crafting mats with them (they are under Other) and sell them on the marketboard (remember to check the price history).
You will make a lot of gil that way without having to grind or play the market.

And do ventures, while often you get scrap, sometimes you get Savage Aim Materia IV, which sells ~500k a pop on Balmung.
