Do all your Duty Roulette and Beast Dailies every day, and the Challenge log whenever you can. Only spend gil on repairing. Don't bother with food or materia. (You don't need any of it until you decide to do serious Coil/Extreme Primals.) If you aren't crafting yourself, sell all your crafting materials that drop from monsters on the marketboard. When your Mythology Tombstones are full and you don't need them for gear, buy crafting mats with them (they are under Other) and sell them on the marketboard (remember to check the price history).

You will make a lot of gil that way without having to grind or play the market.

And do ventures, while often you get scrap, sometimes you get Savage Aim Materia IV, which sells ~500k a pop on Balmung.

I just hope they're clear on where we need to go and what NPC to talk to, to get the deed once we buy the plot.... assuming with the massive zerg on the land spots that most of us can even get one.

Have this scary feeling this whole thing is going to be a nightmare and go wrong in a dozen different ways.

If you don't know how to make gil, just follow your challenge log.

Completing it will give you, just from the completion bonuses:

• 57 000 gil (53 000 if you can't manage the 2nd retainer objective)
• 1 full level on a DoM/DoW class
• 30% of a level on a DoH class
• 10% of a level on miner/botanist and fisher
• 15% of a level for your chocobo
• 50% of a pvp rank (no gil reward on those objectives, skip if you don't like pvp)

Craft/buy a few accessories to spiritbind while doing all the tasks, sell the materias and everything else you get. You should get 100-150k every week.

Level up Miner and Botanist. They dont even need to be 50 to gather many things that sell constantly and for good money on the markets.

Shards and Crystals are in constant demand, and though the price can tank at times, it always seems to rebound. Botany is key for anyone trying to level Culinarian/Carpenter, and I've found several things that sell well and consistently.
