Yeah I'm pretty sure one of them that I already have is pretty much required for this thing (Careful Synthesis II is amazing). Currently my rotation when I do this is

Inner Quiet
Basic Touch if there's a bonus, Careful Synthesis II if not
Basic Touch x5
Careful Synthesis II

This drags out the turns on the item and gives a higher chance the Excellent bonus to appear. While I agree that the key to this quest are the lv15 & 50 abilities you get from the crafting classes, I also realize that it's not realistic to expect every player to have all the lv50 crafting abilities or even specific ones.

@Ashkendor: The main difference between the two threads is that I'm specifically talking about a certain quest where as the one linked is talking about the Ixal quests in general and how the minimum level requirement isn't realistic. I will concede that this specific quest has gotten their attention (which it should) and that it has been more or less the prime example of the difficulty of Ixal quests as a whole. This thread is mainly to help lv50 crafters with this specific quest because of it's insane spike in difficulty.

I don't remember the quest names but I am at level 6 Ixal reputation now and the crafting is not really hard, just different rotation for each quest. Usually takes 0-3 attempts to get idea on how to hq items. I have all crafters at 50 but don't use most of their skills and don't do 1, 2, 3 star crafts unless I need something for housing - so try out some "simpleton style" crafting with basic skills available for all jobs.
