    Should Coil still work like this?

    Going to look at it from a more realistic point of view for Binding Coil and Second Coil.

    Your team has gathered to progress through the "Raid", and you're ready to fight what lies within it. You kill everything you come across and make your way through it, and the defenses in the Turns will come back again next week after regenerating, or something like that.



    My current issue with Second Coil is that since I'm not in a group that has a solid foundation of people that will run the content each week, I'm left with the scraps of people, including myself, that have to find people capable enough to run the Raids, even by this point. Some days there are only parties for T7 up, some days only T6, and this week, I got kinda screwed.

    T6 went horribly because of a tank with a massive attitude that I ran across, and there were only 4 more days till the reset, everyone else had already run it so far on my friend's list, and time zone differences made it impossible to find a good group. I decided to try for Turn 7 since there was a PF for it, even though I never cleared it, it then locked me out of T6, which in my opinion is crap.

    You should only be getting locked out of content if you complete it or receive loot, being locked out of an earlier turn simply because you touched a later one doesn't make sense.

    This probably isn't put into words as best it could be, but I don't see much sense into sealing off those earlier turns if everything gets reset every week anyways, especially if you didn't get any loot from 7, but not suddenly can't do 6 just because you were in 7 for 5 seconds.

    Lore wise we only defeat Coil (or any instance, bar Primals) once. We replay that "memory" over and over for the sake of gameplay.

    I'm confused. Didn't you know you would be locked out of completing T6 by entering T7?

    I'm not a very hardcore Raider, I was ignorant of it. I thought a lockout would only happen if I cleared a later turn or received loot, not if I went into one, wiped a bunch, then left.

    Its always been if you go into someone's coil save who is father then you. It saves you to their save meaning you can't do previous bosses you have not killed.

    If you look at it this way, the whole Coil is treated as a giant multi-staged Fight, each turn is a checkpoint. Naturally, if you joined someone's group that has progressed further down, you'll skip the earlier ones. Does it suck that you missed loot from earlier turns? yes (you dont miss anything if the loot you want doesn't drop), but for progression wise it's actually advantage, you get a free skip to later turns! Also, the game warns you about the progressive nature of coil when you first unlock it.

    Thats pretty good to know. I never knew it either tbh. I knew that in say, turn 1, you used to be able to make who ever had the shortcut open the leader to jump to the Cad, but I never knew if I went into T5 I couldn't go back.

    Fancy that. lol
