The paladion warlion mount..

It's called Warlion not overgroomed fluffy pet with cute eyes and a crown lion.

Lions generally have a "noble" aesthetic to them. The warlion basically ignored that and tried to make them look savage, but look silly and unappealing instead.

The body looks almost like Behemoth. The snarling face looks like behemoth. Disappointed that its pure white. Youd think it'll have atleast a golden mane

It really does look terrible. I hope someday they take a look at fixing it up a bit (a lot).
I have no desire to even try to get this for my Paladin as it is.

I mean, I'm glad they didn't go with "cuddly, adorable" style for the Lion, but it definitely lacks... "something", to really sell it as a lion, particularly something regal-looking enough that a Paladin would have it as their Job-specific mount.

I like the idea of having a savage warlion mount, one that doesn't look all pampered and fluffy.

But that one just looks hideous. The texture quality is just god-awful.

I dont see the problem for a regal looking lion for Paladin, they're not thematically like Warrior (savage/rage) - even if the lion was to look savage, ARR's still looks pretty bad imo. From a distance I thought maybe I'll go for the war lion but once I got up close I have no interest for it now, kind of sad since the mount was meant to be an encouragement for DFing a lot of hard content. Of course imo, and I've seen people ride them so they either like the way it looks or just spent so much emotional work they "want" to like it - pain can do funny things lol.

If they were able to rework it I'd be much appreciated; otherwise, I've already got a bunch of mounts so I guess I just won't do the work to get the mount unless it just happens as a by-product of something else I was doing.

I think the warlion is themed after those chinese lions.



It is definitely an artist's choice, but I too am disappointed of how the unicorns/elemental horses look, since SE can very perfectly design horses with realistic bone structure and manes (see Sleipnir).



I don't even want my horse or unicorn to have the badass skin or barding that Sleipnir has (poor Odin needs to stay special, and he already gave away all his armor), but at LEAST I'd love if my mount had the same shape or a real horse. The joints of our horse mounts are all wrong...

This actually looks a ton better than the one in the game. I'd want this as a mount, it's hilarious.

Maybe we'll get as part of a future Hildebrand thing?
