The paladion warlion mount..

So when I heard that paladins would get their own specific mount I got pretty excited as I play paladin as my main job. A white lion sounded pretty cool and I started farming duties to get one for myself. I never really looked at screenshots or anything of what it would look like. I had this image in my head of something quite beautiful looking (as I think lions in the real world are quite beautiful creatures) and I trusted SE would make it look nice just like most everything else in the world of Eorzea.

Well, the other day, I spotted someone showing off their new warlion mount and I was extremely disappointed to say the least.

I think they tried to make a distinction xD
The first one for example looks absolutely beautiful :3
Like it's lived a life of pampering like a pet or something.

The second one looks ugly and almost disfigured in my opinion lol
Like it's been in plenty of actual war zones.
I think that's what they were going for, but I'm just guessing is all 8D

It's almost like the Warlion mount was just a hastily done reskin of the Chimera model used to poor effect to get more people tanking. Almost.

I wasn't very impressed either. Seeing what they have done with the other mounts (minus Behemoth's badly designed face), they could have done a much better job with it. Oh well, I'll be collecting it anyway~

It's called Warlion not overgroomed fluffy pet with cute eyes and a crown lion. :P It looks just right for its name. What is not nice is the textures being so low res on character models and mounts that looks terrible even from far away. The hair and fur need better resolution. It's the only part of graphics in this game I dont like. Character models are really bad looking. Skin, hair and armour need better texturing thats for sure.

I needs an armor (And fix its face). How can it be a "war"-thing without an armor?! Arrows, axes, swords, spears, etc... that thing is completely vulnerable to attacks! Looks like a druid's animal companion.

Oh god that thing is horrid. The texture on it is awful, the face is ugly, and the posture is terrible. It isn't even the color of a lion. Why do we have to have so many white mounts?

That Tera one though, awesome.
Also, just for another example, this is a lion mount from PWI, which is a fairly old game and i think it even looks better that our war-lion thing.

Well, you had to beat the one in the first picture into submission for you to ride it, no wonder it looks like the second picture.

That's the warlion?! And I just finished leveling PLD... Welp, time to level a Warrior instead. The bear better not look like some stuffed animal from Build-a-Bear Workshop.
