PS3 will always have issues, it can't handle to many characters on screen at once, Nothing will fix that problem, and since s ranks will almost always have a ton of people they will never see them reliably.

But as far as the OP goes, i don't think this is something you can easily fix, when 300+ people are hitting anything, it will melt, quickly. you just have to hope you're in the party contributing the most damage, This is Hunts, get used to it

Well, people communicate efficiently.... which is the only real problem with Hunts.

The marks were tuned for a full party to kill an "A", and an alliance (maybe a well-geared full party) to kill an "S".....Not for the entire server to get their licks in and hope for full seals.

Someone will lose out in that case. Best to form your own hunting party, and KEEP IT IN THE party; advertise as little as possible.

But the cat's out of the bag....so it is what it is.

upgrade that computer and get faster.

Had one person ask if they can hold pull while they meld some gear for someone. So yup agree with you

got to one at 75% with 5 people. 1 whm, 2 casters, and 2 plds. got full credit. Its easy as heck if you know what to do.

Marks are given for AGGRO accumulated against the mark. If you do not hit the boss your aggro does not count towards the team total. Which means you MUST hit it once at least.

WHM/SCH - hit the mark once (make sure it connects since attacks can miss) then AOE heal as many people as possible. It really helps if people stay together too.

PLD/WAR - Full aggro combos. War can go into SE combo but if its primetime usually all you can get off is 1.5-2 combos before its dead so BB combo is more effective as far as ive seen.

DPS - Blow all cooldowns and push your DPS to the limit. If its an S mark you should have some time to set up combos and such but A marks are a bit more hectic since they die so fast.

Id never wast Allied Seals on vanity :P {that's just me} but i use mine like most on sands of time also i'm very "casual" hunts are not very hard to do form a party find a party {what ever one you like} then use sites to find out what hunts are up. Then run around the map like mad looking some ppl dislike them 1 they think it's boring 2 they can't find party's or 3 something seems to hard for them. 274 Allied Seals a week is very nice but sadly it takes way to long to get what you want and with that sometimes the grind is worth it anyway i'm not saying hunting is 100% perfect but once you find your rhythm it can work out very well.

Is it? If I did 1 A Rank a day instead of these worthless Mark Bills, that'd be 350 Allied Seals a week, though in the time it takes two FATEs to spawn every day I could probably do 2~3 A Ranks a day instead, so 700~1,050 Allied Seals a week. I'd actually do that, if I didn't absolutely loath how Hunts are handled by the player base; it's about as interesting as leveling up with FATEs were back in the day, except back then I could form a party of friends and do dungeons anyway. Here my alternative is doing annoying Mark Bills for peanuts. Or forming a party with friends and "ninja"ing A Ranks and being BListed by the entire server, I guess.

If nothing else, they really should just drop Weekly Mark Bills and change the two FATEs on the Daily Bills to B Ranks. At least then I might finish getting this damned vanity gear this year with minimal effect on my sanity.

And personally, I don't think this would be a bad way to go. It minimizes anger and rage and hatred and all of those negative emotions associated with the Hunt, and besides that, the credit system is completely borked anyway with how much it emphasizes aggro generation over any other form of contribution.
Because that won't break things further.

Though I do agree that the way it decides credit is out of whack (not much sense made if a party of WHMs spamming Medica can theoretically get more credit than the party responsible for DPSing the thing down), at least having it so for most people the mob does not vanish levels the playing field a bit so more people can have a shot. It should not be so easy that one whack = full credit though.

And there would still be anger. If you've been on the mob the entire time and someone can come in and hit it once and get the same credit as you, that's unfair for you who was on the mob the entire time.

S-ranks are rare enough that they have a very minimal impact on progression compared to A-ranks. Remember that an A-rank spawns 9 times for every one S-rank (that's 180 seals vs. the 50 from an S-rank).

In short, it wouldn't break a goddamn thing.

So what? They got their credit, everyone can ignore their complaints when they have no ground to stand on.

Furthermore, with S-ranks being as heavily swarmed as they are, your contribution means nothing. Seriously. There is literally no reason to be so self-important when you are merely one of HUNDREDS of players beating on the same mob.

    Just a matter of skill.

A shame to say it si broken, when it allows to everybody the same access to S rank, which is the pc performance, btw...
This is funniest thing I've read all day. Someone actually said Hunts has anything to do with skill.

Your server's hunting zerg is extremely accessible and very organized-- not to mention chatty, if you're using the public teamspeak/LS. Frankly, you're being offered seals on a silver platter and choosing the dung heap of your own volition.
