That depends entirely on how "casual" you are and what you even want Allied Seals for.
I'm getting 274 Allied Seals a week, and need 10,480 Allied Seals for vanity gear; I hate my life. Not nearly as much as I do the developer who put out this nonsense, though.

Id never wast Allied Seals on vanity :P {that's just me} but i use mine like most on sands of time also i'm very "casual" hunts are not very hard to do form a party find a party {what ever one you like} then use sites to find out what hunts are up. Then run around the map like mad looking some ppl dislike them 1 they think it's boring 2 they can't find party's or 3 something seems to hard for them. 274 Allied Seals a week is very nice but sadly it takes way to long to get what you want and with that sometimes the grind is worth it anyway i'm not saying hunting is 100% perfect but once you find your rhythm it can work out very well.

Is it? If I did 1 A Rank a day instead of these worthless Mark Bills, that'd be 350 Allied Seals a week, though in the time it takes two FATEs to spawn every day I could probably do 2~3 A Ranks a day instead, so 700~1,050 Allied Seals a week. I'd actually do that, if I didn't absolutely loath how Hunts are handled by the player base; it's about as interesting as leveling up with FATEs were back in the day, except back then I could form a party of friends and do dungeons anyway. Here my alternative is doing annoying Mark Bills for peanuts. Or forming a party with friends and "ninja"ing A Ranks and being BListed by the entire server, I guess.
If nothing else, they really should just drop Weekly Mark Bills and change the two FATEs on the Daily Bills to B Ranks. At least then I might finish getting this damned vanity gear this year with minimal effect on my sanity.

Your server's hunting zerg is extremely accessible and very organized-- not to mention chatty, if you're using the public teamspeak/LS. Frankly, you're being offered seals on a silver platter and choosing the dung heap of your own volition. Is it? You just pointed out the problem. Re-read his posts, then think about what you said and why you're wrong.

So everyone should be forced to join the "hunt union" to be able to participate? No, he's not right.
Many people have issues with how the "community" are handling hunts. I used quotes, because these people like to say they are the whole server community, or most of it, with no evidence of course. A given person might post here, saying they're "nice" or whatever, but that doesn't speak for the whole group either.
The zergs want to drive out friendly competition from a system where the competition is intended. Not to mention they remove any and all enjoyment from it for many people. Mobbing an S rank with 100+ people causing it to melt into oblivion. Large LS groups telling people they have to play healer or tank to participate in their groups. These are just some of the issues the PLAYERS have caused, but refuse to accept as being issues.

In my opinion, hunts are handled really well on the Excalibur server. I've usually been able to get around 200+ seals a day if effort's actually put in. Since you're "ninja"ing A ranks, it doesn't sound like you've gotten in to any of the major Hunt Linkshells that have been created for the event. Is it? There's a Hunt LS on Teamspeak that's very effective at getting you seals, also pretty damn organised. Hit me up in-game sometime and I'd be happy to help you in. ^^
Not what I'm doing (often, at least), and you're missing my point.
My issue isn't getting into a Hunt LS, my issue is the way Hunts are handled, the way they have to be handled, is utter tripe. Something I do not want to take part in because it is about as interesting and fun as post-launch FATE spamming. Again, only difference between FATEs then and Hunts now, is that FATEs had an alternative, actually quite a few alternatives. You didn't HAVE to join the server in the mass zerging down of FATEs for EXP, but unless you want to earn Allied Seals at a snails pace, you HAVE to do so with Hunts. That is the problem here.
You have two options with Hunts; do it the way everyone else is doing it, or don't do it at all. That is the issue. People are welcome to tell me not to bother with Allied Seals if I don't find the zerg fun, but that isn't a solution, is it? That's just a polite way of telling me to shut up because you disagree with me. The solution is an alternative method of obtaining Allied Seals, nothing more, nothing less.

Hunts are handled really well on Goblin as well even without TS or other VOIPs. If you aren't there, then too bad. No one really complains, and if they do, people ignore them. There are a few LS's that take the time to set pull timers and such. But for the most part, if you aren't actually hunting, odds are you won't get full credit which is how it should work.In my opinion, hunts are handled really well on the Excalibur server.
