Mastering Crafting/Gathering Classes First VS Mastering a DOW Class First - DEBATE

If gil actually did something, it might be a good idea.
But the only things worth spending gil on is Vanity and Melded i90 gear/Novus. Most of which is for DoW/M.
If you're DoL/H only all you're doing is spending gil on materials to make more gil, its a never ending cycle of spending money to make more money that you're not going to need.

There is housing and furniture to spend money on. Specially with private housing coming out soon.

This game has a lot more to offer than crafting and you are missing out on a lot of content if you don't level a fighting class. So yes, your friend is right.
