Lightbulb Hit Ragequitters in their pockets

    Dear Dev Team,

This 30 Minute penalty thing isn't really enough to deter people from pretty much dropping from Dungeon or Trial content when things don't go their way (or when they do, they get their gear, and they leave).

Here's a heartfelt yet modest proposal to finding a solution: perhaps in addition to the 30 minute penalty you should consider cutting a % of said offender's current gil total that they're carrying. Or even deducting it from their EXP total so that they Delevel from 50, which would prevent them from re-queuing the exact same fight so when they're leveling up trying to get back to LV 50 they have a small time to think a second time before they actually jump ship.

    Just sayin'.

It's like people have said in other threads. Trying to make it MORE punishing to keep someone who DOESN'T WANT TO BE THERE, in the instance, will not work. They will just afk til they get kicked, fake DC or whatever. It happens already as it is.

The BEST thing to do, imo, would be to let you select no less than 5 dungeons for your daily random ... I know it would hurt if people didn't choose what needed to be queue'd for , but you will have people that will just select them all.

That way, it might let people queue for something that they want and have a less chance of leaving ... like of like 'favoriting' a dungeon.

What? Are the rewards not good enough for Roulette, that now you want to pick-and-choose which duties you get extra credit for?

No, the entire point of the Roulette is to queue for various things at random on the off-chance it reduces the time someone else who queues for something on purpose has to wait because that instance is story-only or old content.

If that player doesn't want to run what the queue decided for them for that day's roulette, then IMO it should forfeit their rewards for that day altogether. You do not get more than one shot to "get it right" if you drop out of a dungeon. You do not get to re-roll a real-life lottery ticket just because you didn't get good numbers the first time. You do not get to ask the person at the counter "hey, can you tell me which numbers are going to be in the winning pool" so you can have better odds than someone printing it off at random. Forget about it.

It's never going to stop people from being spoiled whiny pouting brats, no. But being lenient does not seem to be working very well either; If you didn't want to be there, then you shouldn't of queued in DF.

They should probably also add a penalty to the reason for being kicked as well. Like a vote kick for ragequitting so that a hungry horde of goobbue just completely devour their character including all of their gear right after they exit the duty.

    How's that sound?

First of all, I never leave a DF. I felt that it was something that could get people to stay so that others don't have to abandon their DF when someone doesn't come in to fill in for who left. I wanted to suggest something that wasn't 'take stuff away' because that suggestion has been all of the forums for months and SE isn't taking it.

LOL, a gil penalty? Really? All one would have to do is dump all their money to their retainer and they can avoid the problem real quick. As for that EXP penalty, challenge logs, rested EXP, and food makes EXP pretty trivial.

Uhhh no. All thats gonna do is people will just not do roulette all together or party up. I personally don't leave DF or roulettes unless everyone is so bad it's becoming painful to play or emergencies.

FYI sometimes you want the ragequitters gone. I was running Titan HM, dude rage quit and then 5 other people followed. We were at 30% echo and not getting past the heart phase. The tank was blaming everyone and he was the first one gone. The dungeon filled backup and we were short one healer. New tank, you can solo heal this. Then we one shot cleared it with the new group. Let people stumble on their egos. Patience will always persevere.

Let's hold somebody hostage in an instance. This is our "modest proposal."
