    Ever heard of these?
And you get a new party member, someone that might some of the possible loot, and you get to complete the run. You just don't want to have competition on what you roll, as made by yourself in a previous statement:

Items are meant to be rolled on by everyone who is eligible and that partakes in the encounter. So in the end, you just don't want others to roll on your shinies. And you speak of selfishness ?

Quite the hypocritical stance you got there.

if you don't want to finish the istance, but you are looking only for one particular loot, you use the party finder.
you DO NOT enter duty finder, and leave.
that is just rude. and stupid.
you don't want to waste time doing PF looking for a drop in a dungeon?
you are wasting other people's time by entering a DF and leaving when you get what you want.

why would I have to sit here for 10 minutes waiting for a new party member, because you are too lazy to do a PF to get one useless loot you'll only wear as a glamour?

Yeah sure, people will totally want to waste a couple of hours to try to assemble a Syrcus Tower run, a run that might never even start because they want to get a piece of loot that is highly sought-after just so that a few random people don't get their feeling hurts ?

Why should they waste hours because you're too lazy to complete an instance that can be completed easily with less than 20 people ? Oh yeah, because you people don't want to have competition from others when they roll on their shinies.

The hypocritical stance sure is popular around here.

Let's not forget the context here, this is ST we're talking about, you wont wait 10 mins to get another member.

Syrcus Tower it's another story, I don't remember where and when a specific loot drops, but as a BLM I had to do so much run to get the caster body, that drops on the last boss.

I'm aware that a PF for Syrcus Tower is nearly impossible to make, I was referring to dungeons, or roulettes.
I've encountered so many people quitting after the first boss on DR etreme, and don't even let me start on Tanks that ragequit as soon as they see Brayflox Easymode start.
why are you even queueing on DF to Brayflox easymode, if you don't want to do it?????

the guys who would have to stay instead of bailing could be majority ... or you meant it in a way that they would get the reward even if the bailed but only just a bit later ? that would solve nothing XD

I don't think anything should be changed. The way the system works isn't broken for those who use it correctly, and changing the system could harm those who have unfortunate circumstances, such as getting disconnected during a run.

That said, it's absolutely a dick move to get your loot and leave.

No, you're not holding anyone back from finishing the run... but yes, you are almost certainly hurting people's statistical odds of getting the drops they came for. Most people do ST for the UATs and Oils. A person who gets a drop earlier in the run is one less person to roll against at the end of the run.

To get loot and then leave the instance throws off the balance of how all this is supposed to work. People are supposed to choose which drops are most important to them, and those choices are supposed to factor into the success rates for everyone else. As more people get their needed UATs and oils, and then start lotting regular gear drops, this is supposed to make things easier for others who've had worse luck with the more coveted drops. The one person leaving often ends up harming the overall drop rates of everyone else in that person's party... not just during that one run, but over several other runs if that keeps happening.

I see this as a case of "hate the player, not the game."
