Any love for ATMAs?

Atma has two sides like a coin, for example RNG hates me so I needed 3 months to get it (and 1 month was just in east shroud - made me hate it).

But the good side was, I leveled up my choco, i met new people, that are also in my friendslist, and we still talk. While I'm now concentrating on animus, maybe in future I will go atma hunting again for my bard and blm when they are to 50 and i have the relics finished. BUT, mostlikely not XD - if RNG keeps hating me, I will not do it

Maybe if it wasn't all about luck I'd like it. But since it's all about luck... Nope. My Ninja's weapon will most certainly not be an atma

I have always liked a RNG system over a, do this x amount of times to get item. The system with do it this way x amount of times, is too rigid for me. And they use that kind of system from everything from fights to items.

For me, this game has to little RNG. Hence why i don't play it anymore.

Heck, even the only game they studied to make this game, WoW, never had a token system like this game during the times I tried it. Outside PvP that is.

Then again as you simply farmed it or bought it, there wasn't any RNG involved so maybe that's still preferable.

I don't hate farming Atma.
But I hate it when don't get an Atma after a large amount of FATEs.
Sometimes I'm lucky and get 3 Atma in one hour. Sometimes I'm not and don't get an Atma in weeks. I think the drop rate could be a just really little bit higher than it is now.

I also hate it when I get to a FATE that's half over because one other person was doing it and in the moment you arrive that other person decides it's ok to only use auto attack from now on so you can do the rest yourself and probably get him an Atma like that. I'll also only auto attack then. xD

I'll echo a few others here. I just finished my first atma grind. It wasn't horrible. The only issue I have with it is the sense of not accomplishing anything if you go for hours or days (or weeks?) in one zone without getting the drop. Central Shroud and Eastern Thanalan were like that for me.

But, I made a point to not burn myself out doing it. I'd just stop when I got bored and not force the issue. It wasn't too bad, and I got to see FATES and areas of zones I had never been, even though I've played since the early betas.

You make it sound like everyone went for their relic weapon. Unlike now, people back then where OK with not being able to get every single piece of gear in the game. At least that was how it was before Dynamis became a solo thing.

Never seen as much complaining anywhere else besides this game, from people not being able to get and do everything.

I like the "grind" lol of course it is frustrating when I don't get anything for days, but I'm in no rush to get the best of the best. So I enjoy it, I only have two Atma so far but I will eventually get all of them for my warrior, and then I will start on my paladin.

And then I will eventually start on my white mage lol

I thank Yoshi and team for this RNG drop thing, since it CAN give SOME people the sense of accomplishment, and NOT for OTHERS.

And for the ones that can't understand how someone can enjoy this, it's OK you will be OK not knowing, I promise.

No thanks. Farmed one set and will not farm another unless the system is changed. After 400+ fates in east shroud to get last atma, I am keeping my one set for ninja. Sad too, cause I like the relic weapons, and have 4 zeniths that would love to be upgraded.
