They could have been nicer, but you also could have taken a few steps back before you put yourself in that awkward situation to be able to avoid it completely. You're making a huge deal out of something that was essentially just an unfortunate fluke string of events.

Yes, but I've noticed the way newbies are being treated. Obviously there are different circumstances in which a newbie found themselves not knowing what to do in their first couple dungeons.. but those circumstances are irrelevant when you are already in a party. Instead of trying to ask people to go back in time and tell them what they should have done, you can help them with what they need to do, and there's even nice ways to do it.
