Battle stances!

I'm surprised that different races don't have different weapon stances like they did in FFXI:

We learn fighting in specific guild, if you wield a spear you only learn that in gridania, swordfigthing is only learned in the ul'da Gladiator guild,... and all of us have the same masters (as Long as we have the same class) wouldn't it be weird if every race would have a different stance while learning the same style under the same master?
