Chocobo Dye - The Missing Manual

It got me to Aldgoat Brown. . . a most undesirable turn of events ^.^;
So I fed my chocobo a valfruit and it immediately decided to grow new feathers.

Back at Coral Pink again, so gonna try to a mix of 1 valfuit and 4 berries to get it going more purple this time.

Was hoping to get some possible help. Tried going for the White or Snow White color, fed per the spreadsheet and it came out Lotus Pink. Should I just be feeding the fruit to lessen the red and it'd be fine or is there something else to get to the white?

so apparently that mix did nothing. . . so from that coral pink, I fed my bird 9 apples trying to move back toward black, following the spreadsheet and it turned a lovely Sunset Orange so it appears I'm back on track. Going to try more apples and see if I can't get it to blood red.

Took 10 apples to get the "feather" message.

So I've been asking all over and hoping someone can help out. My husband has been trying to get Chocolate brown for days now with no luck. Currently he is at Blood Red, any ideas what he should feed next to try for Chocolate Brown? He really wants it & it makes me want it for him! lol ^_^

Does any of you know what should i use to go from Grape purple to the infamous Soot black?

Ive been reading few threads discussing bout the subject on several websites but i really fail to understand this system, let alone converting it into the required fruits...

So then I grabbed some berries, after 6 berries I got the color change message. If I get Royal Purple I won't be disappointed, but I kind of wanted to see the Dallamud Red ^.^

According to the color map, you'd need to feed it pineapples to go back from Lotus to White.

I'm at royal blue, what do I feed for sooth black?

Dalamud Red FTW, it's soooooo pretty, I may choose to come back to this color later.

But moving onward, gonna move toward rolanberry and midnight blue. Fed 12 berries without any 'feather' message so I figured my over feed of apples earlier might be to blame, so I fed 4 plums and got me the feather message. With so much blue, I might skip a step to midnight, or could go horribly wrong. . . we'll see ^.^

Can someone recommend going from olive green to soot black?
