So after trying the Microfeeding method gunning for Abyssal Blue. I instead got Grape purple
I'm not complaining though. In fact I like the color

LOL. your capture is a lot clearer then mine. What tool are you using to do the capture? Am using the default snipping windows tool. Also, what are your gfx settings?
Just using the standard in-game screen capture (print screen on keyboard) then opening the screenshot it saves in fireworks. The image I attached is heavily processed and from a laptop, it's a lot better than that on my main rig, which has the gfx settings at max and is what I was using to get the numbers I quoted.
I spent a couple of hours grabbing all the RGB values that night, to be honest when it comes down to the recipes it still isn't that different even though all the values are different. Not sure if i'll implement them or not at this stage, but i'll still put them somewhere.
Will hopefully implement your new RGB values today.

Going to see if there is any major difference in RGB value doing it this way. My earlier values were captured using Windows Snipping Tool. You may want to hold off on the new implementation. EDIT:
Yeah, some difference in RGB value, and I think I will actually go down to the exactly value as GIMP reads it this time around, using 7x7 area avg as before. Will work on the new RGB later tonight.
EDIT: 9/12 10pm ET
Okay, RGB value updated, this time using in game print screen, then used GIMP 7x7 method to avg RGB value reading, verified with another sample loc. RGB value now to EXACT reading and removed all rounding.

Calculator updated with these values. They're much closer to the values I have. Again, not much difference between scales on recipes.Going to see if there is any major difference in RGB value doing it this way. My earlier values were captured using Windows Snipping Tool. Some were exactly the same when compared to the 8th scale. Tnx for the update.
But I do hope this will resolve some of these color trap issues now that the values are more better define. At worst case, if anyone thinks there is a better approach, they can at least know how mine was obtained.
Yeah I think we're pretty much there in regards to RGB scales. They don't have to be exact, the distance just needs to be right between 2 colours. I'm tinkering with the increment now, seeing if I can find a sweeter spot using decimals. Some were exactly the same when compared to the 8th scale. Tnx for the update.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered already... I did read the first couple of pages, but 17 pages is a great many, and I haven't read the thread all the way through.
So is there a way to dye specifically the accent feathers, not the body color? I saw someone running around the other day with a regular yellow chocobo, but the accent feathers were white instead of red/black. It looked sharp. How'd they do that?

The Chocobo that you saw is the FFXIV Recruit A Friend mount.I apologize if this has been asked and answered already... I did read the first couple of pages, but 17 pages is a great many, and I haven't read the thread all the way through.

As it stands, unfortunately, there is currently no way to dye only the accent feathers.![]()
