or maybe the Ninja Trainer can be a former Ninja who has been secret living in Eorzea because he has been running away from his past as a Ninja and the reason why we discover this person is a Ninja is because this person had to use a bit of his Ninja skills to save our character's life.

Oh maybe he's a space ninja time traveling mecha-elephant! Or maybe it'll be a Monkey-dog Ninja escaped from Amon's lab in the Sycrus tower that teaches us.

...or you could just follow the lore and cutscenes and accept Yugiri is going to teach us Ninjutsu and you'll need to have a least killed Leviathan HM to train with her.

Except lorewise rog and nin didn't exist when traversing Coils 1 and 2 with Alisaie or braving CT or ST together with Cid. Lorewise you can't possibly be rog or nin doing this. That is the line of reasoning she is supporting and its ridiculous. Its that same reasoning people are arguing to lock this class/job behind story, when regardless the story does not change, the story has already happened. Its in the past and you being a rog or nin going through it doesn't change the story that has been told.

You're confusing what's called timeline vs. continuous narrative.

I beat Ifrit EX mode - I got the cutscene but I still go back and fight him - but that doesn't disrupt the quest line because the quest line is over. Being a Ninja before the person that is going to teach you about being a Ninja even arrives ruins the continuous narrative of the story.

There has been no offical announcement by the developers who will be the Ninja Trainer.

Just like you're specualting that Yugiri may be the Ninja trainer.

No one is 100% certain who is the Ninja Trainer until SE makes a offical announcement who is the Ninja Trainer.

A cutscene does not mean she will be the Ninja Trainer.

It only means she is a possibly the Ninja trainer.

Until we can become a Ninja and actually meet Yugiri herself and she actually trains us as a Ninja then we are not 100% certain if she is or is not the Ninja Trainer.

However, this cannot be offically confirmed until 2.4 is released and players can become a Rogue/Ninja or alternatively the developers officially announced that Yugiri is the offical Ninja Trainer.

If you're done with the storyline it doesn't matter you're not experiencing it for the first time anymore - we're specifically talking about new players.

If you read the book cover to cover the first time - you can go back and read a single chapter and not have it be ruined because you've already got the narrative.

All people are saying here - is that if you get the Ninja chapter before reading the book it's breaking the narrative.

It's OK, obvious quest dialogue = speculation, lol. The narrative is indeed broken if Ninja is acquired before it's mentioned in the storyline. There's no way Yugiri will magically appear to new players before he introduction in the main story. This is why the opposing idea is to have a completely different "trainer," because people think the devs will accommodate for the new players, which is not likely.

Hey, maybe, just maybe NIN might have multiple trainers. Where you start learning from one and then you learn from Yugiri. No one knows for certain except S.E.

I understand what you mean but it in no way means that the R/N storyline cant add to the current narrative in such a way to tie loose ends together. This is not an advanced class/job, YP said the only reason hes adding this class/job in now is because he felt it was missing from the original lineup. otherwise it would wait until an expansion. I'm not disagreeing with the lore arguments only saying that it is possible to have this as a starting class without breaking the game and immersion. If you can't imagine that then thats a lack of creative thinking on your part. Will they have jobs locked behind story and levels? sure, eventually. will this be the first one, I seriously doubt that.
