I'm getting completely fed up at this point...

I don't know what to really tell ya. Nothing's confirmed until there's a full mapped route to black. When people come at it from different angles, they're gonna need different "finishing" fruit to land on it. Nothing is going to work twice probably until someone can say EXACTLY how they got to it. I can't keep up with the other thread, but at least the first few who landed on black could barely tell you what fruit they used and the number of those fruit.

If somehow I manage to actually land on it, practically all of my stuff is recorded, so someone could easily attempt to recreate it. That's what people need to be doing.

The guy on my server who landed on it.. I've seen his and it don't look that impressive cause it's not true black. It looks like the bird fell down a chimney. Ink Blue looks better.

Does anyone know how to get to Iris Purple from Colibri Pink?

I went the opposite way to you from Iris Purple to Colibri Pink using a Valfruit so you could try the opposite. I took green away so you need to add one green??

Well, I already started feeding mine Berries again. At the moment I'm @15 and waiting on a berries plant which should be finished within the 6 hours. If I can't get a "new feathers" from those 36, or if they aren't finished for w/e reason, I'll move on the Pears.

My plan at the moment is finish berries. Start stuffing him with pears. See what I get, and at some point give him a Lemon and move on to finding Wine Red or the high red color w/e it may be.

I've been wondering if valfruit instead of pears is worth considering along that blood red > purple > blue path. Maybe that could shift it to those other reds(Mesa, Rust, Wine)? Might be worth a shot before using a lemon anyway.

Decided to take your advice and go with pears from dalamud red. Shockingly, it only took one pear to get the new feathers message O_O
I'll post later tonight/tomorrow morning with the results.

So apparently Dalamud Red > Pear > Blood Red.

Going to feed berries again to try to get back to Dalamud Red. Someone in another thread posted that they got the new feather message from apples at Dalamud Red, so I might try that. Afraid it's just going to take me back to Blood Red though.

What I did to get my snow white chocobo:
Permanent info: Rank 6, Attack and Healer Lvl 4, Lavender Bed Medium House Stables, N/A on weather

1st Feed- Color: Desert Yellow, Stable: Good
Feed 1 Doman Plum, thinking that its feed one at a time (I'm not a clever man)

Result: Desert Yellow
Next feed time: 7 hours later

2nd Feed- Color: Desert Yellow, Stable: Fair
Feed 4 Doman Plums until it said new feathers will grow.

Result: Slyph Green
Next feed time: 9 hours later

3rd Feed- Color: Slyph Green, Stable: Good
Feed 9 Doman Plums until it said new feathers will grow.

Result: Waited 21 hours later, Snow White

Maybe. But I'd have to feed pineapples in addition to valfruit to get back to just reds. On the other hand, if I do find something doing that, it may just make the path even longer. I'll think about it. For now I'll stick with pears since I've already started. I'll consider lightening fruits after that.

Yeah, that's strange. I really didn't think that would happen. At the very least I thought you might hit a brown.
