Yes a /hide weapon option would be good, then if you go into Active or Synth or Gathering mode it turns the option off, and your weapon reappears and everything back to normal.

Am i the only one thinking these swimsuits suck? >.>
Oh Japan....Nielfresne can be seen tossing heals without a weapon of any kind equipped in the Ul'dah new character instance. Granted, he's an NPC, but the animations are all there, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch for a "hide weapon" option. Without re-doing the entire armory system, toggling weapon visibility is about all they can do.
Until then, badass bikini babes brandishing bardiches, booyah!
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
Yes because it's not like SE characters have ever worn swimsuits in the past.
It's summer, they wanted to add swimwear. Bikinis are fine and have nothing to do with Korean game development. As with any other piece of gear currently in the game, if you don't like it don't wear it. Sure you'll have to see it but if that kills the game that much for you then there are probably bigger issues.
SEGA gave people swimwear in PSU and people wore it where applicable. You could run missions in it with no consequence but people rarely did.
Maybe I didn't explain myself well, I didn't mean that bikinis are "immersion breaking" or that i'm disturbed by all that skin, I meant that they seem like what you can usually see in koreans mmo: stuffs added just for the sake of it without any design or connection to the game (plenty of exemples in Aion). The FFXI suit i posted (I guess it was for a summer event, but I can't remember, it's been ages) is still revealing, it still doesn't have any purpose except the attire, but you can see there's a design behind it and it's perfectly fitting the game, same for Rikku's outfit. There isn't anything like that in those bikinis, you can find something similar in any Victioria's Secret catalogue. I was just expecting more, but still the picture is small and they were just 2 swimsuits, i hope there are gonna be details i missed that are gonna change my mind.Yes because it's not like SE characters have ever worn swimsuits in the past.

i don't see the point in been r evealing or not. They're fuc**** bikinis, like you see in every corner of the world. Why here should be different, if not for the sake of whine ?
Or maybe you expect FANTASY bikinis ? <_<
Get over yourself... bikini's are common place, me and millions other wear em. There will always be the tard nerds, just cause we get skin in a BATHING SUIT outfit people cry ... omg korean korean... who cares?! ... Games can take a hint from some korean game outfits anyways, some really stylish stuff^^ Nothing wrong with fashion or skin! *facepalm*
I guess they are pretty tacky swimsuits. They don't seem very lore-compliant.
