The same place they hide any of their other numerous possessions, a rift in the space-time continuum. There are no inventories or backpacks.

Haven't you ever wondered why you blink in and out of existence whenever you equip something?

There are an infinite amount of different versions of each of us, each is a different point in space-time. Whenever you have the need to "equip" something, that version of you simply fades out and is replaced with one with whatever item you desired. Unfortunately, due to the complexities of the universe and the underlying fabric that is space-time, there is as of now, no way to determine a way to "rewind" to a version of yourself in possession of an item you previously lost, sold, threw away etc., and likewise, no way to "skip over" to a future version of yourself for items you have yet to acquire.
