GC Elite Gear - Alteration to Cost?

You have every single item? Wait a minute, let me check my inventory... and I have none of them. Because, I mean, that's relevant, right?

Some folks were completely unwilling to farm allied seals because of how socially violent farming elite marks could be, myself included.

Exactly this. It's in line with the effort/prices for most other very high-end vanity gear in the game.

You guys just don't get it, do you? There is no such thing as low- to mid-range vanity gear in this game. Even the level 1 no-stats vanity gear is ridiculously expensive and hard to get. The whole system is stupid, and this is just another example of how ridiculous it is. If this gear was supposed to be just for glamour, it should be vanity-only, no stats, no iLvl, etc. Square Enix has *no idea* what they're doing.

Looking at it another way, it's meant to be the next step up from the i55 GC set that already exists. Yeah, it's not nearly as good as endgame equipment, and is marginally on par with Darklight gear which, even at launch, was less than ideal at best. But hey. It carries the "Uniform" bonus. So that's gotta account for something, right? Who knows, maybe SE is planning to add a new PVP arena in the future where players are required to have a full set of gear (At least left-side) that gives a "Uniform" bonus. Which would be cool in theory, as everyone would have to wear the best GC armor and weapons available to them without deviation.

I just wish it wasn't so freakishly expensive, especially when looking at how cheap the AF2 gear is.
