Hmmmmm, I was wondering why EN Bards are so quiet while Japanese PVP fourm is having a heat debate on why Bard didn't get a buff. It looks like a lot of our Bards are not even aware of this. No, you won't see any difference on normal dummy, because this is only applied in PvP Zone.

Considering the recent change to Blast Shot its actually funny
Here were goign to change the range on that ability so that you will never be able to use it at its full potency. Why not remove the damage aspect altogether cause what the point anyway.

This whole range thing reminds me of a TBC hunter deadzone altho its not quite as bad its still ridicilous.
15y range is enough for a player with a clue to hug the bard and completely negate his damage.

    O.O

This is not a news towards FF11 Ranfers because in FF11, this rule also applied in PvE and was more complicated because it varies from type of range weapon. For example, archery is usually around 15 m but marksmanship is about 5m. It also vary between short bow and long bow, where long bow is about 20m.

Can anyone tell me where this was tested? Because from my knowledge there are no training dummies in PVP conditions.

Shield throw, it is 15m. They create macro to use it as range indicator.

When both Quick Nock and Shield Throw are blue, you are closer than 12m
When Quick Nock is red but Shield Throw is Blue, you are within 12m to 15m, the best distance
When both actions are red, you are more than 15 yard away from your target.
