I think attempting to use any mount (or the roulette) should auto-detect when your companion's out and just use the company chocobo instead.

Or they should just let us mount any mount when our companion's out. Companion disappears when you mount anyway.

I meant the 3D model. You sit on it after it disappears and reappears next to you. It's maybe a little lore/immersion breaking, but I'm just saying it's not like there's some complicated animated interaction that would be a technical hurdle to making it work.
