I waited yesterday for about 30 minutes and then decided it is not worth it for me to do that every day for lousy 10 marks.

Also waited over an hour for "bellyfull" in Coerthas, ironically that fate was always up when I was doing the animus book fate there
10 seals for waiting so long really is not worth it when a single A rank out weighs it by far

Normally I assume that a designer creates content so the players can enjoy it. I also assume that it hurts a developper to know that the content he created is not enjoyed by the vast majority of the players. But the developpers of FF14 ARR seem to have either a very strong defence shield to these complaints or it is a monetary decision. Maybe 100 people leaving monthly is still cheaper than having to invest money for REAL Gameplay. Like Reynhart said a few postings above, the FATES are there so they are super easy to use for a lot of Game elements.
I mean, here on the Forums, you see complaint threads about rare FATES every single day. And honestly, although they are annoying and everything has been said more than one time already (I know that I am repeating myself as well lol), there can't be enough of them because this IS a hot topic until it was finally adressed.
I also know of people who do not complain but just silently left. And having to do an indefinite amount of FATES to receive the 12 ATMAS and having to wait endlessly for Animus FATES were the major reason for leaving I have heard. FATES shouldn't really be more than levelling incentives and stuff you do because you have a few minutes left. Making them mandatory for quests and even worse, tying them to daily quests was not the best idea SE had. We gotta change their mindset about FATE usage and right now, the only chance to do so is to swamp them with complaints and not stop to complain till they react. And I do not mean the "adjustments" they made so far where you see no difference afterwards.

I've been waiting for Spiteful to pop in Central Thanalan for more than an hour now. Devs, do you really expect me to do that as daily content?
When you decided to give Bs no rewards of their own and a 5s respawn rate, perhaps you should have reworked / scrapped the old daily hunts and focused everything around Bs. As it stands, Bs add very little to the world and your weekly hunt is over in like 2 minutes (The 2 weeklies I had yesterday were over in less than 10m taking into account the time it took me to get the goddamn bill), while daily FATEs can still take hours (and aren't hunting at all, just waiting at spawn point). I just don't see the logic here.

Waiting on Vivian myself at the fens...... it's been like an hour.
Switching the 2 dailys to B's rather then fates....... damn fine idea.....

Just a PSA from a more die-hard hunter on this forum:
Although the zerg/drama surrounding A ranks still exists, the size of the horde was noticeably smaller while I was hunting last night... rather than spend an hour or two waiting on a FATE to get 10 seals, you may want to give A-rank hunting another chance... just head to an open zone, start a hunt group in the PF and participate in a single A rank kill (you can just leave your pt afterward... people come and go from hunt groups all the time, so you won't upset anyone).
You may find that A ranks still aren't your cup of tea, but perhaps the slightly smaller crowds (if this trend holds true beyond the first 24 hours) may be more to your liking.
And why spend up to two hours to get 10 seals when you can get 20 seals, 80 myths and 20 soldiery tomes in no more than one hour?
when i hunt A's, i want to do them for like an hour or three straight, hopefully get in a good 10-15 kills.
the Bills should be something you can do while queuing for Syrcus Tower, Frontline or just waiting around for your Coil group to log on. which is pretty much true for the Weekly Bill and the mob packs, but not so for the FATE bosses.

If I can press "like" button 500 times I would lol - your statement is valid. It's sad to see this game is spiraling out of control because I think they did amazing job creating the most gorgeous world and really cool fantasy atmosphere. But the way the handle "endgame" content is getting stale pretty quickly. Though I would guess 80% of their players don't really care since most of them are not quite there, or fully there. The casuals contents are more than enough to hold them at bay from seeing the real problem. And by the time those group arrive at endgame, SE already "phasing out" difficult content so the casuals don't really see that much of a difference.Normally I assume that a designer creates content so the players can enjoy it. I'm still waiting on both FATEs from yesterday's daily hunts. Haven't even accepted today's yet.
So yeah, this is a problem.
