    Sorry if I sounded harsh, wasn't meant this way. And I agree, even if they would spawn quicker, it would still not be really Fun. But after so many elements have been introduced where FATES were central elements I have lost Faith in SE that they will ever change their general approach to FATES. It seems they love them very much, maybe the Japanese players like them more than us Europeans and NA people do, maybe it is because they are quite cheap to implement, I don't know.

    I hope they make them at least not so mind numbing with the wait that's included. I think nobody would complain if a FATE spawns all 15 minutes or something in that range. When you wait for a FATE, you can clearly see the diffference between some of the FATES. There are a lot you see spawning many times while you wait for yours. It just doesn't go into my head why some must be so rare. They are not special in any way, do not offer anything special. So why the difference?

    I see it in various Patch notes that they are making "adjustments". But what I would like to see adjusted is never adjusted. Not sure what they really do when they adjust them.

    What they should have done with the adjustment is to make the FATEs that are part of Hunting Bill to respawn within 5 minutes after it's over. People will get stuffs done quickly, and move on.

    That's not they way, if you read my previous post you'll know why, i don't want things handed to me, and i don't want mindless and boring grinds or time sinks, when you say "get stuff quickly and move on" in a game then you're doing something wrong, this may be good for mobile game but not MMOs.

    Again, i think my previous post explains my point, the wait time is not correct, but reducing the wait time to 5 min is just a convenience fix, this is content, to get something you have to do something, and i think 10 seals for a 1-5m wait and 30 secs zerge is not a well balanced reward.

    The thing is there is a middle ground between 5 minutes respawn and 3 hours for some of them. The thing is that if they don't want to adjust the time for the FATES to appear, at least make the Allied Seals rewards proportionate to the waiting time.

    Waiting for one hour so you could do something is what reminds me of mobile\ Facebook games.

    There is nothing fun about waiting. We find it boring in real life and to kill that time we sometimes play a quick game. Now imagine a game that makes you wait.

    It's daily "THINGS TO DO" and to occupy casuals. The last thing you want to do as developers is to punish these so called CASUALS with two hours waiting time for one FATE to reappear.... FF14 is NOT hardcore, and they cater heavily to the casuals aka "people who actually have jobs and families to deal with and have maybe a good 2-3 hours a day to play". These people make good money - often forget they have 3-6 months renewable subs, and won't bat an eye on $150 a year subs. Giving them "accessible" daily reward to stimulate their dopamine system of their brains ensure that they will log every day, do their easy peasy dailies, "stimulated and rewarded" and feel good and positive about the game.

    Should they feel they want "harder" challenge, there are a few "extremely grindy" activities and "farming grind" dungeon runs for them to do. They can try Coil 1.5 for a bit of extra work, or push themselves to the limit with Coil 2.1-2.4. This game is about OPTIONS, the more you cater to the casuals, the better it is for SE as company to make money. Hardcore can do their things, while casuals do their dailies, get stuffs done, move on, and log off.

    They love them because they already exist. This allows them to do new quests really fast by. Like how every relic step reuse existing content.
    This also allows new people to complete FATE, because experienced players will still "help" them.

    Besides, a lot of things are dungeon centered too, exactly for the same reason.

    We can only assume that by doing so, they have more time to focus on proper new content for the expansion, and that's maybe why we might see the expansion "sooner than expected" and with content "rivalring launch".

    The reason it is bad is because they claim most content is casual. There is nothing casual about spending four or more hours to get 20 allied seals. If they make statements otherwise then how can we argue? Waited 2 hours for diamondjaw in south than.
