Yes there is - most people bragging about how easily they beat T5 will never *ever* admit to using it though. Look up a YouTube video of what this app actual does in-fight, and you'll see how much easier it makes the fight.
Amusing how someone that wants to make coil easy mode knows about this kind of stuff.
Touch a nerve there lol? Twintania app (FFXIVapp) is pretty common knowledge out there - I mean, look at all the Hunt threads complaining about the "Radar" plugin for FFXIVapp on this forum lol. BTW, I don't really care about coil "easy mode" either way, I'm just saying I wouldn't be opposed to it either. I've cleared T5 a while ago, and I don't really see why implementing a T5 "easy mode" should bother anyone else who has either. It just amuses me that there are people here who are so insecure about a T5 "easy mode" somehow diminishing their previous accomplishments.
Honestly, before you mentioned it i didn't knew it existed. I prefer my kills legit. at the same time i dislike "smart use of game mechanics" on something like t2 enrage mode.Touch a nerve there lol? And for me its not about disminshing previous accomplishments. I seen what this will become back in wow. A ton of people with zero insentive to do actual raiding because they get everything from easy mode bar a title.
I'm pretty sure the OP's suggestion also stated that "easy mode" would drop zero loot as well. A lot of people continue to do primal-EX fights for loot even though they aren't necessary for story. I'm sure people would still try to pass content for the loot as well. I think the OP's main point is that there are people in the game who don't care about loot , e-peen, etc. and simply want to progress in the storyline/game, and I don't really see a problem with that and it frankly puzzles me why anyone else would have an issue with that. As I mentioned previously, my FC has been basically doing "carry" parties to help members pass T5 and primal-EX fights - I'm sure other FCs do the same thing for some of their members as well. I don't see much difference between a "carry" party vs. implementing an "easy-mode" with no loot/etc. for the casual player-base.Honestly, before you mentioned it i didn't knew it existed. Seeing only one reason doesn't mean there is only one reason, that's just ignorance. Now, hoping that I didn't touch any nerves, it's more so about the effects of implementing such content. Questions, in my mind, arise such as:has already done that.
Will this reflect on the difficulty of easier content? The difficulty of coil was already change before implementation, that's what savage is now, the original version.
Will there be expectations to release this with all raid content? Second coil? Third coil?
For those who do raid, we will get players like OP who will label others as elitist simply because we can clear content and are made to feel guilty when trying to form a group capable of getting capable players. It's not elitism, would someone call their boss an "elitist" if they got fired because they were incapable of doing their job? No, they just have to accept it. So, when recruiting for the latest content, this will flood it with players who are incapable of completing it simply because they are relying on an easy mode and so their expectations on the difficulty of the fight will be different to those who understand the mechanics and know what to expect.
I am all up for helping players who are up for learning a fight, what I don't enjoy, and you get this in the DF so much, is players who come in, don't look a single thing up and expect you to give them a detailed run through in the fight. Time is limited in an instance and in the DF this just isn't fair to make other players wait. Now, of course there are exceptions. Some players will learn quite quickly or just as good, some players will be determined and learn all the same. When you get a new player constantly running head first into a wall, then it's a "nope" from me. That is why easy mode shouldn't be implemented. We shouldn't have to resort to spoon feeding people because it will have lasting impacts, not because I care about my achievement. If that was my concern, and that of others, the echo
Very simple solution to this, to access the "normal" turns of SCoB, you must clear the "normal" turns of the first Coil. "Casual" players can still enjoy the storylines of Coil and they will have no impact on the "hardcore" endgame raiders since they won't have access to the "normal" SCoB turns anyway. So, when recruiting for the latest content, this will flood it with players who are incapable of completing it simply because they are relying on an easy mode and so their expectations on the difficulty of the fight will be different to those who understand the mechanics and know what to expect.
Indeed... But still TS or skype call can do the same effect kinda - though with enough practice you should be able to look up focus target yourself...
I admit that twin was hard when people did it with ilvl82 or lower, without echo. It required a skill... 20% echo simply requires you to dodge stuff that will instantly kill you and know how to play your class (though now 1 good healer can make up for another not so good one). I mean... If you have enough gear, nowadays even divebombs will not one shot you unless you hit the wall or you get unlucky enough to get mark above your head after getting hit outside the formation... Though 1 dead person still is better than dead party![]()
