Why should I have to switch between chat filters because people like you need attention? It's not just me having this problem, it's just most people don't want to kick the little nerdrage ant bed over. You can go to Mor Dhona, why annoy people everywhere you have the opportunity? Why not use /say? Why is the burden always on all the people who don't want to be annoyed by one selfish person?

Because YOU are the one being bothered with interacting with others, they give you tools to deal with it, so use them.
Yeah no, you are a minority.
No, i can guarantee you that I am in the majority. Most people hate /sh. This is the problem right? A few loud obnoxious people think everyone loves to see their /sh. News flash: almost nobody does. I guess I should be more tolerant of the socially disadvantaged and attention-starved, so why not make a compromise and have a configuration option that lets you filter /sh when in residential areas, or are you afraid too many people will miss out on your witty repartee?
Why are you even playing MMOs if you don't like players socializing? I mean there should be quite a few single-player games that provide you with a nice challenge without having to play with others. No, i can guarantee you that I am in the majority. And as others have already pointed out, you have the tools to overcome this issue on your own so use them. And don't say "But I don't wanna!" because you won't be getting sympathy from anyone.

If everybody hates shout, what's wrong with making yourself unable to see shout at all? You keep acting like there's never anything worth of reading in /sh. Why wait for SE to force it on everyone, even people who don't want it? Filter it now and you're free forever.
How are you so sure you're not forcing yourself on..wait, are you saying forum posters aren't people? What about you then?
Except I can guarantee that you aren't in the majority. I frequently hang out outside of my FC house. My FC house is located in Mist Ward 1 of my server, which is probably one of the most populated wards on most servers. Also keep in mind that I share my server with a large Japanese population. I do see /sh being used now and then but 1) it's not frequent enough for me or others to care about or 2) It actually helps us build a sense of community within our small ward.Just yesterday I randomly did a /sh to tease an FC friend that I had been chatting with in FC chat. Not only did nobody tell me to stop talking in sh but they even joined in on the fun. We all had a fun time and I met new people. If they had found my /sh annoying, they could've told me to can it but they didn't. This isn't the first time something like this has happened either. So your one opinion clearly doesn't represent the MAJORITY of people who hang out in the residential districts. No, i can guarantee you that I am in the majority. Most people hate /sh. I guess I should be more tolerant of the socially disadvantaged and attention-starved, so why not make a compromise and have a configuration option that lets you filter /sh when in residential areas, or are you afraid too many people will miss out on your witty repartee?
