Shame that Rogue/NIN will come out alone in 2.4 then. It'll be 2.0's carpet of carbuncles all over again.
Please look forward to 50,000 narutos running around the world with their arms behind their backs for a few weeks.
Good interview! I felt bad because yoshi-p looks so tired, but impressed he remains so cheerful all the time. Thanks for posting.
It was pretty obvious that Ninja was the only job coming out before the expansion. Not sure how many times Yoshi-P has to repeat that fact before it hits home.
Gotta be patient, my mans.
Tackle box has been asked/mentioned before in several previous interviews. Basically, they won't do it. Paraphrasing quite a bit, but you already have 100 inventory slots per character, not including your armoury and both initial retainers, that's a lot compared to other games which also means each character consumes a large amount of data. Currently, they're trying to look for ways to reduce that data consumption, not add more.
It's great we got a response on this. It's a shame it did not work out the way they planned it.
Let's give the devs the benefit of the doubt and believe they truly did not know hunts would turn out the way they did. I then have serious doubts about their vision.
Yup, and to add to this, each slot (except the armoire) has to account for durability of a piece of gear, as well as spiritbond, which bumps the usage a bit as well.Tackle box has been asked/mentioned before in several previous interviews. Between all the posts begging for open world content and the demand for the rewards from allied seals you'd think that the devs would have better anticipated the amount of players who would be participating in the hunts. Hopefully this has helped open their eyes a bit.
Buy more space. I'm not taking "space limitations" as a response to not being able to hold fishing tackle.. That or redesign the class. Fishing effectively has an extra burden no other class has with short benefits to show for it.

つ ◕_◕ ༽つ -ouɐdsᴉ-Well, guess what, they have that option in place already, but people complain about it all the time. Some people don't realize how much of a burden it really is, because they think the space would just be given to them so it's small. So, it doesn't matter if you take it as a response, it really is the reason. And it's not simply adding more space, adding more space, means more data in the database, which makes said database SLOWER.
So glad all of SE's programmers take to the forums.. Also there is no reason a Fisher's tackle box needs to be loaded the second of each zone in/login, only when fishing..The extra space per character may not be much...but the total space across all characters IS. Even chars who don't even have Fisher unlocked need to have that space allocated to their character file on the server in reservation for if and when they DO unlock it. FFXI is a great example of what happens when the devs cave and give people a whole pile of inventory options. It now takes a solid 15s or so just to fully load up in a zone in that game. You load in and can move and interact but you can't access inventory for a good 15s or so. This is because the game is spending so much time trying to read and load up your inventory so you can readily access it. It would be worse in XIV since inventory is displayed dynamically as a UI element.
