Buy more space. I'm not taking "space limitations" as a response to not being able to hold fishing tackle.. That or redesign the class. Fishing effectively has an extra burden no other class has with short benefits to show for it.

Well, guess what, they have that option in place already, but people complain about it all the time. Some people don't realize how much of a burden it really is, because they think the space would just be given to them so it's small. So, it doesn't matter if you take it as a response, it really is the reason. And it's not simply adding more space, adding more space, means more data in the database, which makes said database SLOWER.

I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to us, however I feel like a lot of things you asked most people know about already or has been stated in previous interviews several times. I saw a lot of good questions from your previous thread and barely any of them were touched upon. Not sure if there is some pre-restrictions to what can be asked, but I feel like I barely got anything from this.

The extra space per character may not be much...but the total space across all characters IS. Even chars who don't even have Fisher unlocked need to have that space allocated to their character file on the server in reservation for if and when they DO unlock it. FFXI is a great example of what happens when the devs cave and give people a whole pile of inventory options. It now takes a solid 15s or so just to fully load up in a zone in that game. You load in and can move and interact but you can't access inventory for a good 15s or so. This is because the game is spending so much time trying to read and load up your inventory so you can readily access it. It would be worse in XIV since inventory is displayed dynamically as a UI element.

If the expansion is sooner than we expect, do you think 2.5 will be the patch before 3.0?

Well 2.5 was expected and then confirmed to be the final 2.0 series patch after they mentioned in the last live letter they would conclude the CT storyline last and in separate patches and 2.5 would be the last CT patch, so not entirely sure what they meant by sooner than expected. Maybe because some people expected it to be around a year from now to coincide with the 2 year anniversary but instead it'll be 3-4 months after 2.5, putting it around May-June 2015 which was already kinda expected too.

Q2: So, uhh, very soon we will have Ninja and Rouge. Would you say there are more classes coming before the expansion? And if so will one be a tank. Can you ensure anything about it? at least the philosophy(i think..) behind it?

"Rouge" again...is it so complicated to write "Rogue" ?

Nothing about what gear/stats Ninja will use? Stocking up on both STR and DEX gear. I don't see the harm of them telling us, as many of us want to take ninjas in to the Third Coil of Bahamut on week 1, which means having a full set of i110 gear prefarmed. (Yes I know i120 and i130 will likely be out but we won't be able to get that all in a week or two and will most likely be a piece a week or so, like current soldiery, So No it's not entirely obsolete)

you can start 2.4 with :
- the RT(S)*10 and UAT for the weapon
-2k soldiery +2k mytho wich should turn into 500 soldiery = enough to buy half soldiery gear one minute after you 1st logged in 2.4, the other half won't need more time than leveling it to 50 (uncapped soldiery)
- enough *** of time to full upgrade
- i110 crafted gear?

Yes, I did. And Yoshi said he'd love to do it right now and they're ready to do it whenever, but for now Microsoft's being stubborn, so it won't happen until they accept cross-platform servers, and Yoshi thinks it won't happen at least for this year.
