Primal mounts and their effect on player health/sanity.

Yeah people aren't really thinking about what I suggested. 30 tokens is 10 weeks of Primals, it's not a handout.

My main angle for this is being caught behind when 2.2 came out (i was away for 2 months), so I had to run the EX primals to clear them. It's the most frustrating experience I've had in the game so far, they made the EX primals useless, and nobody wanted to do them anymore. Ultra rare mounts were simply not enough of an encouragement to keep people playing the content.

These mounts are intended to be rare items for players who have already cleared the extreme primal battles, to incentivize players to continue and challenge these fights. At this time there are no plans to make any adjustments to the primal mounts, but if anything changes we will be sure to update you.

Sorry, but...

These mounts are too rare items for me, who i have already cleared most extreme primal battles
(except Ramuh, because whoever does Ramuh when the gear is outdated right from the start).
There is no incentivize for me to continue and challenge these fights and loose my sanity farming the primal mounts.
At this time i have no plans to run this type of content again, until you make adjustments to it.

And S-E is failing at their stated design intent of keeping that old content alive for new people trying to clear it regardless of whether someone does or doesn't decide to get a flaming pony. Methinks you missed the point when you came in to make a jab at someone's lack of dedication.

I really like the fact that these mounts are rare, they are some of the few drops in the game that are and should remain that way!

IMO there are not enough rare items in the game... like really rare so when you see someone with it you go Wooooaaaahhhh! That is soo cool!

It's when they add these token systems to get everything which ruins things because people find ways to super grind things faster than intended - Speed runs - Hunts etc etc then everyone has everything! Nothing is rare and then there is nothing to covet!

Some players will have it after 3 runs and some will never have it even after 300. Keep it that way.

I am getting sick of such argumentation...
First: Count those who get it with 3 runs, you will find many more who need 100+ runs!
Secund: You cant say it in general because you dont know the numbers from RNG
-> When max number is 1.000.000.000 (3 or 300 is not happening very often!)

Lets have a look on statistics:

-> 122 Players own a Nightmare Mount
-> Most of the players already given up to get one of the new Mounts
=> Most owner of Nightmare Mount gotten them before the new Mounts were implemented (higher drop rate, because less Mounts to drop - never seen 2 Mounts drop!)

The worst isnt the less than 1% drop, the worst is to roll against 7 others then, which exponentially increases your chances to lose... then again start the 1% luck anew...

Edit (example - not mine):
150+ runs, lost with a 22...
300+ runs, lost with a 45...
10+ runs lost with a 11...
500+ runs lost with a 67...
Now face that player and tell him/her the system is not broken!
Just slap him/her into face would be less painful...

Exactly, some people just wont accept the fact that they can't get everything in this game, and would rather ruin it for people who actually care having stuff the majority of the players will never get.

What if someone asks you for help for it? you'll just tell them "sorry, i have no plans to do that fight because i can't get what i want out of it" if you never do it, there is a 100% chance of not getting the drop.

Why would you want people to covet you? Why would you want to inspire that feeling?

Yes, I completely understand having a trophy for something you worked hard for. Having an actual physical thing to represent your accomplishment.

However, desiring to make others covetous or jealous is extremely petty and really glaringly shows your lack of self-esteem and pride in yourself in the real world. That's like the biggest statement of "I couldn't make it in real life but at least in Eorzea people are jealous of my pony that I got lucky enough to get," that I've ever seen.

True, but after 1000+ trys, humans tend to dump the task because they just cant see it any more and will never see it again even for "helping"...
That have nothing to do with the "i dont get what i want thing", you are reading too much into it...
After years of doing same over and over again - example: work - humans are mental "broken"... try to teach them anything new after 30 years of work...
