I think every one of us has the right to not accept such a fact since we all pay every month as their customers. lol just sayin'

Why would you want people to covet you? Why would you want to inspire that feeling?
Yes, I completely understand having a trophy for something you worked hard for. Having an actual physical thing to represent your accomplishment.
However, desiring to make others covetous or jealous is extremely petty and really glaringly shows your lack of self-esteem and pride in yourself in the real world. That's like the biggest statement of "I couldn't make it in real life but at least in Eorzea people are jealous of my pony that I got lucky enough to get," that I've ever seen.

Again the fix for this extreme primals battle is beyond ridiculously easy, with these steps, just update the gears to be up to date with the lowest requirements to clear things:
1. Slot A. Extremely common gears or weapon lvl 90, 50% chance
2. Slot B. Very Rare Gears or Weapon lvl 100 8% chance
3. Slot C. Common lvl 60 crafts materials 70% chance
4. Slot D. Common lvl 70-80 craft materials 40% chance
5. Slot E. Super rare mount 2% chance
6. Slot F. Very Rare U. Alagan Tomestone 5% chance
Out of those 6, three of them will load randomly. So instead of ONE item, you get three of them. Plus give everyone 50 myths, and 15 soldiery, and 5000 gils. Now you can see more incentives. FFXI got the drop slots right, and that game has one of the worst RNG but still able to beat this game to a pulp.

Don't understand how some have developed the mentality that having a primal mount makes them somehow more impressive. You may have farmed it until your eyes bled, but there are others out there who got it on their very first win. Are you really impressed by something that may have taken so little effort to get, regardless of the drop rate?
Now if there were actual work involved, like the suggestion to use the now-useless Rowena tokens instead, then you'd have a real accomplishment on your hands to show off and be proud of. As it stands, that shiny pony is only evidence of a high dice roll, not of the effort you put into getting it.
So, with things as they are, you won't catch me signing up for an ex primal fight with any thought of getting the mount right now. But, if you put them in the dusty old primal token shop, I'd happily grind away (even in DF!) for a wind pony. Even if it took a hundred of em. That's an actual accomplishment, and not just another lucky dice roll.
I think the point in most of these replies is that people are already not bothering to do them anymore. The mounts are more of a "Well, if it drops while I'm already doing this fight for whatever reason, great!" sort of thing to the majority, I'd wager. They're not any real incentive to actually revisit the fights. And if incentive was the whole reason for them being added, then maybe they aren't actually Working As Intended. The problem is if you make it to easy to get, people would get it and never bother anymore. Just look at the conjurer pony. People would get to 30 and never bother using the spec again.
The tank thing at least encourages for people to keep tanking. If you give it to every tank the second they ding 50 you have people leveling a tank for that and then not switching to tank since all they wanted was that mount.

Only thing low drop rate had done is increase merc sells. The mounts should cost tokens from rowena. I mean she has everything somehow already why not mounts?
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

Someone should call the ASPCA because those primals are keeping those crayola horses in those cramped treasure chests. A Sarah McLachlan song should start playing every time one drops.

Yeah, the only farm for mount I have seen on PF lately was Ramuh and that's because you can get rings 100% and weapons a good amount of the time also. Other then that nobody wants to go do old ones because...there is essentially no chance to get them.

Upset to hear that SE sees no problem with the mounts...
I find it irritating that I have done more EX primals altogether than I can count and have not a single one of those mounts, not even Nightmare which was out a long time ago. I only saw one drop and I farmed the crap out of those primals, and guess who won it? A guy who was dead half the fight or more -_- (Titan EX ofc).
It's just a drive killer when you think about the odds...I like to collect pets and mounts but ugh...
8 player content, so 1/8 chance to win lot, which is 12.5% chance of winning, but the drop rate is only like 1% so you get a 12.5% chance every 100 runs on average....so it ends up being like idk 0.1% chance of getting one? It is okay to make some mounts hard to get but this is getting lame, there were 5 ponies already and now 6 with Ramuh, they don't ALL need to be that rare.
I farmed for the gear, I farmed to help friends, and I've pretty much given up now on getting any of those mounts cause I'm really sick of those fights. I still do Leviathan sometimes but pretty much only because I am missing the PLD shield, otherwise I wouldn't bother anymore.
The drop rate is too low to be incentive SE. Once people think about the drop rate for a minute they realize it is pointless to keep trying, cause you are just wasting your time. It's like the lottery, yeah you could get lucky, but the odds are WAY against you, so what's the point? I could spend the next 3 days doing nothing but Leviathan and not even get a chance to roll on the mount cause it just won't drop, but wait I can't even do that cause I have a life....so my chances just dropped to maybe 0.001% ...yay

The point is not being able to accept you cannot have everything...because you can. The only thing you cannot currently have on one character is desynth, but you can just have more characters with the other skills.
See, the point is SE wants these as an incentive to have players run the old primals. But with the drop rate, no one wants to because...why waste your time? I used to do them all the time when they were newer and I've never even seen a single one drop of any type. They automatically fail their mission of "wanting players to keep doing them" by having a drop rate that is almost 0. They could just make it like a 10% chance and I think people would be happy.
Let me know when you have obtained every possible item in the game, on one character, i will await your tales. The point is not being able to accept you cannot have everything...because you can. The point to this is if you are unable to obtain a certain item crying about it isn't going to solve everything.
You would think with how much most items in this game are just handed to you with minimal effort a few things that are actually rare to get and we got a topic with people crying about how hard they are to get. and mounts of all things.
