did you do any dungeons yet? Maybe you are at the point where you need to do sastasha (or however it's called exactly). If so, use the duty finder to find other people to do the dungeon.

A lot of people get lost here, if you just did the envoy mission for the story it looks like somewhere in Old Gridania there should be a serpent officer who will send you to Limsa, since your starting city is Ul'dah. That will now give you the main scenario Icon again.

Its really a pain because the icon disappears after the envoy quest.

Just to be clear, I was talking about my Lancer alt, who started in Gridania, not my main THM (my avatar) who started in Ul'Dah.
