SE, can you please make a definitive statement on your stance on parsers?

Player A: we'll call him... idk. Buron Aelmont plays 16 hours a day, knows the ins and outs of his class, reads up on the forums, checks out the spreadsheets, and wants to raid in a dedicated endgame group that takes the game seriously

Player A is automatically disqualified for playing a ps4. No consideration is given for his abilities or lack theerof. The fact that he is on a PS4 is enough information to warrant him a bad. This was the case for more than one high rank endgame raid fc I was looking to move to over the past few weeks. SO YES they are limiting firsts to many pc players exclusively.

You'll have to forgive me for having a strong distaste for inequalities and flawed rules that are left in place as status quo.

I'm not sure if you wanted to open a can of worms. The official stance is a no. And the inequality you speak of can be easily turned against you, because the number 1 issue why PC players can't have certain features, especially DX11 and crossfire/SLI support is because that this game is cross-platform.

Once you have it cross-platfrom, you can't have certain things blanketed. It is obvious that the console platfroms are the one having the weaker hardware and this the bottleneck.

Unless SE stops cross-platform, there is no talk about "equality" because the platform and hardwares are already different in the first place. Console players crying that they can't have access to parsers to check and improve? You can actually get PC friends to check that for you, problem solved. But on the other hand, PC players can lament that because of all these console players they can't have their DX11 and bling bling graphical effects, and they have no workaround for this.

That is simply because of player choice, their preference of a PC player because if convenient access to keyboard and VOIP programs for raiding. Do not even confuse it with parser usage. It is just simply the fact that it is the difference in platform (and hardware) itself as mentioned above.

There are a few exceptional console players around that can work around with communication and VOIPs. If one is really a top end/edge player, I am pretty sure top FCs would consider.

Unfortunately to be straightforward to you, looking at your lodestone, ACN/THM 50, ARC 35. This is hardly an impressive profile if you want to apply to any of the server's top FCs. Top FCs are often not only looking for players who can play one class well, but able to play other classes as an when required. It also suggest that you haven't been putting in much time into the game. Top FCs doesn't need raid loggers - often they want people active outside raids as well. Crafting are often highly valued especially when new patch comes for progression. These FCs want to build a close knit community as well. Maybe you should review yourself to see if you actually had such qualities wanted by top FCs you are looking at.

AFAIK, BG got firsts for T5 and T9 with PS3 users...

They have come out with statements. I'm not going to look for it though.
Parsers and other third party tools, especially those that change data, are not
allowed. That being said, if you don't talk about parsers, you will probably not
get in trouble, as they are hard to detect. But if you are caught saying "yea
I use a parser and your dmg is shite" and get reported. You're likely to face trouble.

I have mumble and my exclusion had nothing to do with Voip. Dont derail the topic. That's why i'm aggravated. I have found a killer fc that is willing to accept despite my inferior hardware but there were at least 2 others that did not even want to consider someone due to ps4. And there is definitely a stigma against us.

I totally have the money to blow on a pc. But why should I have to? I thought they were designing this game to run cross platform.

I'm just asking for a damage meter here in an mmo.

We would also like to remind players that third-party tools that modify or parse game data violate the User Agreement, and that players who are found to be using these tools will be met with strict disciplinary action.
