There is not enough time in the world for me to help every single person asking for it. I do what I can for those who come to me as a friend, rather than a beggar. For you, all I can or have the time for is to offer advice, so take it.I appreciate your gutso, but "I play in an FC that gets server-third clears" tells me you are about as experienced with being a pubbie at rock-bottom trying to get seen as a wall street banker is with factory work.
Here's a piece of reality: You can't 'network' with those good players who only do the content you're on as favors for prestige or mass amounts of gil.
Maybe instead of talking down to players you don't know, you could instead help them? And I mean actually help them in material ways, not offer half-winded 'advice' that doesn't require you to lift a finger.
Your 'advice' is of detrimental value to the community, as it purports lies about situations you don't experience and thus know nothing about. If you can't exert labor to help others, then you can stop exerting labor to hurt them.
Nobody asked for it, and I am certainly not taking it.

My advice makes more than enough sense. You my friend are a QQing fool. Dont take it, fine by me. But enough of the QQing already about how life in a video game is hard. I have been on the other side... when this game came out. I've experience and worked my way through these situations that everyone is QQing over... I knew nobody going in, I had no friends, I used the duty finder for hours to smash my head on a wall to kill titan. From joining shout parties, going in party finder when it came out, and getting to know people who I clearly could see had skill at playing the game, I made friends and connections. This is how you it goes, and that is how you do. If you're just going to QQ all day on the forums about how you can't find good groups and no one will invite you, maybe you're bad and need to either get better and practice more or you're just outright not trying hard enough. .Your 'advice' is of detrimental value to the community, as it purports lies about situations you don't experience and thus know nothing about. Literally, with gil, and because the player is paying for access they're deemed inferior by that group automatically and given no chance to succeed except by paying more gil!
(Also, I find it cute when people think that because I primarily hang in PF and do casual content these days that I've never been on the other side of raider culture, and need to 'educate' me on how to assimilate with it...trust me, it's not about making friends *inside* of the game these days, and it certainly isn't about skill demonstrations.)
Again, all I'm hearing is QQ. If you don't want to make friends to get yourself through content, don't play this game, and stop whining.
Also, I played DDR on a pro level for years (more ITG than DDR though). Charts were not memorized. I can tell you that for sure. If you don't believe it, then I have nothing else to say to you, so please stop attacking my posts.

It's really sad that people like this exist. What's worse is how they don't see their views as destructive. If this is an example of high level players, I'd sooner group up with the newbies, thanks. They're more considerate on the whole.
You cannot claim to understand a situation unless you've BEEN in that situation. People who have less time to play (by that I mean can't log in for several hours in one sitting) aren't going to have the same circle of high level friends they can rely on to get through this content. My casual nature is the very reason I don't actually run coil very much, purely because finding members who are online at the same time I am can be very hit and miss. The less said about Duty Finder, the better.
The belief that you're entitled to more than another player for any reason is exactly what's wrong with high level play in this game. I really hope you're not a spokesperson for your guild, because you're putting them in a terribly bad light here.
Most players do not have access to the resources you do by virtue of the attitudes you display to those players. You yourself have attested in the same breath both how crucial a good party is and how your social group won't party with anybody you perceive as inferior without being paid to.

For my wins my resources were party finder. Every last one of them except REX. For him, the people I met during my primal and coil progression invited me to clear REX. If you don't have anyone to do content with at this point you're either.
1. Anti-Social
Or
2. A bad player
You don't need a huge FC or 9 day a week static to clear content contrary to popular belief.
Try not to confuse your experiences for the norm, and maybe don't use that as a platform to make yourself seem superior???For my wins my resources were party finder. I mean, unless you want to look like an ass, but that'd be awful antisocial of you.
You call your experience the norm. How do you know the norm isn't happy and doing just fine and playing this game and loving it, just not posting here on the forums because they don't want to deal with all the QQ and wah wah? How do you know you are just not the one being left out because maybe people don't want to be around you?
I know about 250+ people who are enjoying this game just fine right now but will never set a foot on these forums because of the threads like these.
Listening to raiders talk about social networking reminds me of listening to republicans tell homeless people about finding a job in today's market. It's always the old man telling those kids to pull on their bootstraps, or the young kid who got the .01% chance to get recognized by the old boys' club telling everyone to work as hard as he did.
I don't know who you think you are, but that's all I'm going to say.... I have no time to waste arguing with you. Or any of the rest of you for that matter, so this will thankfully be my last post. Flame me all you want, because I don't be back to read any of it.

Wow, 250? That's a nice sample size out of a million player game. You call your experience the norm. How do you know the norm isn't happy and doing just fine and playing this game and loving it, just not posting here on the forums because they don't want to deal with all the QQ and wah wah?

Who the hell are you calling your experience anything but irregular from a top-3 guild on Excal? lol
Whatever, I'm gonna go actually play the game instead of giving elitist nerds more chances to self-ingratiate by insulting those they perceive as below them.
