Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.
What part of the video should we look at? Can't watch the whole video without falling asleep.Hunt is the exact example why there need to be stronger enemies in the open world that you can't kill in 5 seconds with a full party.

No other reason for it. My solution for you? Be a dragoon. Lol. Elusive Dive removes heavy and then you just sprint it and remount after deaggro.

The heavy effect is pretty silly, especially as 1.0 did it more realistically (ala, the 'lamed' effect which naturally means your mount is injured and can't run anymore), but as someone else mentioned, it's to stop you just running through higher level areas on a mount. It's just been poorly implemented, so yeah, I agree with this thread.
Also in regards to the 'world isn't dangerous enough' argument, perhaps you need to look at it in context - the world is now full of heavily armed thugs running around slaughtering anything that so much as breathes. No wonder the truly 'dangerous' enemies can't be found out in the open, they're either hiding in terror from us monstrous adventurers out to turn their head into a trophy, or they've been driven to extinction.![]()
The mount-heavy does nothing to make the world feel more dangerous, it's just annoying. Mounts in this game don't really go that much faster anyway to warrant this kind of a thing (as opposed to chocobos in XI which gave you flee speed)
It actually would be better if they did kick you off your mount instead of heavying you.

Good old Castrum Novum. That is how an Imperial fortress should be, they knew how to build them in those days.
Better than the absurd short cut or bouncy castle installations we have now. That place was fun.

1.) Get slowed
2.) Keep auto-traveling
3.) Enjoy the scenery
If it wasn't for all these slows I wouldn't be able to enjoy the beautiful views in this digital world.
That's... pretty interesting, I think at least beast tribe strongholds should be like that.
I remember when I started playing this game and saw those tribe strongholds in my map I thought they would be a sort of special dungeon where you fight a boss related to each tribe (in this case the respective primal), you can guess my disappointment when I hit ~47 and saw they were just more open world areas, and then when I hit 50 and walked freely around them got even more disappointed when all I got was a 'heavy' spam.
I feel like they ruined something that could have been amazing![]()
I dont know any MMORPG where you dont get slowed or kicked of mount, because you are being attacked while riding a mount, at all.
In old WoW times u even died if u got kicked of a mount, while being chased by alot of mobs, in FFXIV this is just lulz.
