    I agree that gear does not equal skill. And while there may be a lot of bad players out there, I have to admit something that does impress me. Even after the fact that the first three EX primal requirement is a thing of the past (meaning you dont have to beat Garuda, Titan and Ifrit in order to progress to Levi, Mog and Ramuh) I still see people all the time honestly still working to clear them. Same w/ T5. While you DO have to complete T5 to move to T6-9, you certainly don't need to beat T5 to progress your character. Yet, I still see learning/clear parties for T5 all the time.

    So, basically my point is, while there are plenty of people who want the super fast, super easy way to gear up, there are still a lot of players who legitimately want to succeed at this harder content, even though a lot of it is no longer required.

    I can´t agree on this. Why not let ppl get to max ilvl. If there´d be only 1 ilvl110 set i would rage if its handed to players free. But since we got two of them its fine for me. We Raiders have same ilvl now as bad players(Not saying all Full Soldiery Player are bad but let´s be honest, 90% are). But for the reputation High Allagan is much better. I can only speak for myself though, but when i see some one in Full High allagan gear + Weapon i always think like "damn thats some sexy stuff you´ve got there(I´m not full high allagan yet, gloves and body y u no drop ). But when i see someone in full ilvl110 soldiery left side i´m more like, loool Full Soldiery ftw haha! i automaticly assume that those are worse Players. Ilvl doesnt matter to me. We could clear t9 with half the raid below ilvl100. I bet 90% of these ppl cant even clear t7 or 8 with all 110. Skill>Gear everywhere, everytime(sorry if grammar is poor. I´m Austrian)

    Honestly, your mentality is sad, and I'll tell you why. You specifically mentioned when you see someone's left side being all upgraded Soldiery gear, you laugh (and probably look down on them). Yet, I'm fairly certain that there are jobs that the upgraded Soldiery gear is implicitly better than High Allagan.

    I'll give you a perfect example. Healing gear. I have both a white mage and scholar. Guess what? The upgraded Soldiery gear (not talking accessories here) is far better for my scholar than the high Allagan is. But, according to you, I would be someone that you looked down upon for it.

    But the point is you can have this weapon now and by the time you finally earn that Novus they would have either nerfed the grind to make it easier to get or shock horror they let you get another weapon equal or better than the relic. All the while you were running around with your Gerolt weapon stress free and Gil to burn.

    Yea thats true high allagan is better for whm, soldiery for sch. And no i dont look down to people using Soldiery to go BiS with it and battle. Bis is always a mix of both. Maybe i didnt say it well, i´m still learning to explain well in english. My point is where i DO look down to people are those who are like "Look at my gear b*** all ilvl110. Dont tell me what to do. My gear says that i´m better than you." You check them, all Soldiery. Thats what i mean. i´ve met some of those Show off full soldiery never been to coil once people and bitch on ppl who arent ilvl 110 yet, and yes i DO laugh at them

    5) FFXIV is multi job, you can work on novus for your 2ndjob while playing on your 1st job with your gerolt

    and unless you're still @0alex farmed you'll finish alex farming before 2.4 just with daily expert

    In the future (2.4 is too close to have this), SE should have the endgame and its gear acquisition as follows:

    have 4 (5) types of current endgame raid content.
    1. the main coil like content
    2. the secondary casual non CT raid like content (harder than the crystal towers, 8 man, and difficult like coil but easier than the new main coil like raid)
    3. the main CT like "raid" content.
    4. savage versions of the 1st and 2nd type content

    both 1st and 2nd type content as well as their savage counterparts should have progression lockout. the difference is the 2nd option is able to be DF'd. 3rd will have loot lockout


    there should be 3 (5) gear sets
    1. the new tome type that is able to be upgraded +10ilvls via items dropped (like sold+sand/oil)
    2. BiS "allagan" type gear from the main coil
    3. new "CT" dropped gear which ilvl remains the flat base of the current content (so like what ST drops now)
    4. dye able max upgraded new tome type (so like sold+sand/oil then +item dropped from savage version of the secondary casual non CT like content)
    5. dye able BiS "allagan" type gear from the main coil (via completion of savage version contents)

    The BiS "allagan" type gear should be job specific BiS statwise items of the max ilvl at the time. So whm/sch and War/pld do not share the same gear sets anymore in the new coil type content. instead each set as their own gear specific set. so the "turns" could drop 3 (4-5 if you include the next reason) items at all times with the last turn will follow the usual rule with 1 chest being a wep and the other 2 being gear.

    the new coil type content should also drop items found in the secondary casual non CT like content. (kind of like how tomes/oils are found within the new coil)

    Savage version should follow the same rules above

    the CT type raid should have the chance to drop the upgrade items at a low but decent % (like ST is currently doing)

    The CT type raid should also drop accessories of the flat ilvl

    There should be 6 (7+?) different wep choices
    1. "Allagan" type max ilvl+5
    2. tome upgraded type wep (like the sold+tokens+sand)
    3. relic upgrade
    4. CT type raid flat ilvl wep
    5. Savage upgrades of the 1st and 2nd wep that give the weps special animations/able to be dyed
    6. "extreme/savage" primal/minstrel fight type weps?

    the "allagan" type should always be the top by +5ilv just to follow the basic standard.

    the tome wep item should be in the final "run" of the 2nd raid type content and in the middle of the main coil like raid content"

    savage upgrade items would drop from the final "turns" of their respective content, with the exception of the tome type also being found in the "middle" of the main coil like content.

    There should also be other accessory choices from new extreme/savage primal/minstrel type fights.


    Anyways, what this all does is provide players with various choices to do current endgame content. you get to keep most of the current ways of things going. casuals get to enjoy a type of "coil" endgame content and "elitist" raiders get to have their coil. you get the differences in gear to show what player is what and players can work gear progression in various ways. BiS is found in the hardest content but the equivalent is is found in the "easier" content but is not so much to say as very bad. It gives more incentive to do savage modes. though still gear =/= skill.

    idk if this post was confusing but i though this solution would be nice. im tired. back to sleep =.= ZzZzZ
