Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.
I saw some online advertising in the form of video ads on review sites - clearly targeting people who are already online.
I also suspect an advertising campaign is somewhat outside of Yoshi-P's domain of control. The Squeenix Bigwigs will probably control how much is spent on advertising this title.
Well of course, I'm just hoping that with the atrocity that was FFXIV when it first released, the "bigwigs" will realize this game needs to be put out there for the PS3. As producer, if Yoshida at least knows of some ideas, maybe he can bring them to the table. Better to give them something than never bring it up, yes?I saw some online advertising in the form of video ads on review sites - clearly targeting people who are already online.

I dont remember when was the last time i saw Square-enix advertise anything effectively. I dont even remember seeing anything special for FF XIII. I constantly see on tv advertising for Blizzard games, ubisoft, EA, Nintendo.......but never do i see anything for SE.
It's one area where they have to step it up. No one even talks or mentions the game. My local gamestop store never holds more than a dozen copies of the game. Advertise like crazy for crying out loud. Not to mention that JRPG's are always looked down on in todays video game market which isnt helping them either.
They could ship the PS3 version disguised in the sleeve of a new Call of Duty game![]()
Way to mis-read the OP...
Anyway. Agreed. Advertise.
Download my iPad app on the App Store http://bit.ly/10QMy4C ^^
This is stupid, it's not like they didnt advertise because they new it was crap. The devs were blind and released it because they actually thought it was ready.from the current state, it makes sense that they didn't do any commercial
more advertising = more people who going to play, quit and criticize the game
that's why they'll start advertising when they really think the game is ready
That said, yes, when the ps3 version is ready, they need to do everything in their power to make this game known. They need the critics who matter (ign, gamespot, g4) to acknowledge that it's a better game than it was. They need ads.
I personally cant wait for the ps3 version. I'm sick of having to take turns with my wife to play. we want to be able to play together.
please, i want Mr. T saying he is a Lalafell
