does it take the weather into account when you actually cast the rod? i hooked 'The Sinker' at 12:15 during fog, but i did cast almost right at midnight while it was still clear.

Iffy question -- I once made a cast at 5:59 am, caught a Fullmoon Sardine (HQ) at around 6:08 am, and then landed Twitchbeard right around 6:20 am. So my guess is that the time and weather at the exact moment you make your cast is what determines what "window" is open to land any specific fish.

Twitchbread is probably 4 to 7am but since sardines can only be caught up to 6am it closes the window, but I do believe the timing is based on the cast and not when it makes a sound, hence why you caught a sardine at 6am+
