The only people that equate it to skill are the people who actually lack it.As long as people equate ilvl to skill, this will always be an issue.
lets be honest for a second, look over this thread and some others with the 'if you don't do coil, then your a baddie' or the 'if you not doing coil, then you don't need high ilvl' type crap...
the issue is not about the gear as much as the 'elitist mentality'.
Most people realise that skill generally trumps gear.
Following your logic, it's interesting, the people who were the most vocal about Sands/Oils/UAT being added outside of coil were those who are apparently skilled.
They seemed to care a whole lot about it actually, so they actually lack skill?
Anyway, I don't support the OP's idea, and there are several solutions already in the game. Go do Ramuh EX, Hunts or Second Coil if it bothers you that much.


Actually most people realize that both are important. Gear is the potential, skill is what helps fulfill said potential.
Wait, most "intelligent" people. No that wasn't meant as a stab at anyone's intelligence, just a statement.
