Oh goodness, it's as if this isn't just like the myth cap being raised and eventually removed! Could those dastardly people over at SE be nerfing how long it takes to get geared up with gear that'll soon be deprecated?
Yeah it's really really easy, you've got a pretty good chance of getting a few blood splattered mark log drops over the course of the day if you hunt all day. It takes me four to five hours to get a decent amount, and by that time I usually get one or two mark log drops so it's easily a sand and then some. I don't even hunt that often, but when I do I atleast make sure I get an oil or sand.
Really don't know why people have a problem with this. I don't like the 'idea' of it, just based on the fact Sands shouldn't be 'ez moad' to get. But really, for anyone to complain about Soldiery being a method of obtaining sands is ridiculous in comparison to Hunts. You can get multiple sands a week in hunts, where as even with the proposed 375 Sol for 1 sand means you will be getting one a week. I would have rather seen SE do this then what they did with Hunts. Makes no sense to gate Sol when there is an overflow of Hunts. At least some of us could spend Soldiery we find rather worthless currently.
TL, DR; Sands/Oils are a joke now. Just do it.
Unfortunately no, I wasn't. I actually really like that aspect of the game, that casual players can obtain high lvl gear with relative ease even if it is not "the best". Thats probably because I don't even do coil myself. You see, my point was that you have two distinct options, both very different, to obtain these items. One is super casual, one is much more hardcore in terms of playstyle and effort. I am having serious issues grasping how people are sitting here whining day and night about hunts when the system is honestly -not that bad-. People cried for open world content basically since the release of the game, and somewhere in there they forgot that open world content meant everyone can participate (and would, if it is was worth doing).
Hunts are so easy to do and the barrier to entry is imaginary. Make your own Hunt LS, goto hunts, invite players. Make a PF, invite everyone in the PT to it. People will accept. Soon, you will have a network of people helping you find hunting targets. You may not like the system, thats fine. Just seriously, answer the question. If this content is so bad, what would you want to give allied seals? You offered nothing except some offhand remark about how i'm probably elitist.

So just to be clear, you can get a Sand of Time in 4 to 5 hours, and that's NOT broken at all?
No of course not, this gear is going to be deprecated within the next two months anyways and that's why it's being made so readily available.
You're not doing much to help your own argument.
There's no reason for them not to put it on Soldiery with the way hunts are implemented. Hell, there's no reason for them to keep any of the current content locked with the way hunts are. This patch cycle is basically ruined.
