foe requiem boost SMN/SCH dmg too.“Foe Requiem” should only be needed if you have a Black Mage in your party or when the White Mage goes full DPS on the enemy. I believe that the Summoner and Scholar DoT’s and the DPS of the other classes don’t deal Elemental damage, so “Foe Requiem” would be a waste of MP (at least that’s what everyone has been telling me).
The tooltip of Foe Requiem states the following:
“Reduces all enemy elemental resistance by 10%. MP is drained while singing. Effect is lost if targets move out of hearing distance, and ends upon reuse. Cannot be used with other songs.”
The DoT skills of the Summoner & Scholar are referred to as “unaspected” skills, which would mean that they are not Elemental attacks. The Egi’s on the other hand do use Elemental based attacks, so if the people who told me that Foe Requiem doesn’t work with Summoners, they’d either forgot about the Egi’s, or they were wrong.
But, after you said that it does work with a Summoner and Scholar, i did a quick search of my own. Then i came across this Reddit article:
For those curious, we just tested, Foe Requiem boosts unaspected summoner spells, not just elemental attacks
If that’s the case, then the Tooltip of Foe Requiem is wrong and needs to be adjusted.
For now, i’ll consider myself as corrected and will try it out myself when i have the time. Thanks! (^_^ )/
What? When did they do that? Ok, I most definitely stand corrected then. (^_^; )

They did, and quite a while ago if i may add. Tooltip reads:
"Reduces all enemy magic resistance by 10%. MP is drained while singing. Effect is lost if targets move out of hearing distance, and ends upon reuse. Cannot be used with other songs."
