    If you don't ask for a full clear during the run, I'm not gonna give It to you. Why would I waste my time for people I will never see again?

    Tl;dr if you want a full xp clear, SPEAK UP.

    In the case of your tank. You were the healer. You decide if he lives or dies, if he was being dickish make him do what you want or leave.

    I can understand why a max level person would want to speed run a low level dungeon, but yesterday I found myself in parties with people leveling their jobs and trying to skip most of the trash. I don't really get where their minds are at.

    It's an exp/hr thing. As long as you're not skipping a substantial amount of trash you actually come out ahead by repeatedly clearing dungeons as quickly as possible. The roulette exp bonus should outweigh missing a handful of mobs in out-of-the-way areas.

    What was your point exactly? That you're missing out on EXP? When as someone later in this thread illustrated better than I that the exp/hr is better skipping than killing? As a leveling dps. I would rather have someone speed running me through a dungeon even with skipping some trash because I gain more exp in a faster period of time. Sure you can kill group to group but chain bonuses... 2 or maybe 3. Speedrunning I have seen chains maxed and keep going. I will yield more exp that way than even killing each group due to the bonuses.

    Also tanks shouldn't have to ask, someone needs to speak up. I am tired of hearing about dps queue times, especially from someone who as only leveled 1 dps. I am in the process of leveling my last and they are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

    I think many ppl just focus on the daily roulette exp bonus or rushing dungeons for exp bonus from the log book.

    Btw, I have seen a lot of new players just want fast, possibily speed run (time attack feel) is the most exciting content for new players.

    IMO it is becoming less and less of an issue.
    I recall those "speed run needs stop/fix" or "Skipping CS needs stop/fix" posts everyday,
    apparently it has been stopped/fixed by HUNTING. ^^;

    Personally, I think it's lazy and inconsiderate especially if there are clearly low level players in the party. It's bad enough that many players don't even know what the whole dungeon looks like and expect to blow by all of the mobs. I've had several players thank me for doing a full clear and people who were genuinely surprised at the amount of loot some of the dungeons actually contain. If you want to cultivate a community of selfish players who are not familiar with the dungeons, the drops and don't have the patience to do a full clear, feel free, but I'm clearing the dungeon unless I've got 3 other level 50's with me. It's the poor oversight that generates these tanks who don't know how to tank, healers who are more concerned about doing dps than healing out of "boredom", and mouthy, knucklehead dps who don't have the slightest grasp of what their class' role is in the party.

    My point is that if I want to work on my dps, I usually queue for one dungeon, then pal around on my scholar, working on open world content, like relic stuff until the queue pops. I complete that dungeon, and then move on to other things like gil farming, helping FC mates or running higher level dungeons. It's silly to assume that everyone has the same play style as you, or even that everyone wants to rush to 50 in the first place.

    I just let the rest of the group decide. If I'm there to get in and out, but there are people there that need loot from the side areas or exp, I just let them go for it and go with the flow. Its a lot better than having a bunch of undergeared newbs running around.

    Usually my static tank asks at the start of the run if it's ok to skip stuff. If any of the 2 strangers said no, we kill everything. No biggie.

    However, I've been in many solo roulettes where the tank just doesn't communicate and no one said anything, then started doing speed run, pulling all shits, without even waiting for my MP (I'm WHM), even at boss room (Stone Vigil Hard, for example) which then resulted in me having no MP and letting the tank die when we had 3 Aevis on us at a time. I really hate that. At least say something or watch healer's MP when you want to speed run. Diving nose first into a battle, blindly and brainlessly, is actually counterproductive.
