So now we must limit our suggestions to what can be obtained with inferior-grade servers? Please.
The day we cave to those standards is the day SE thinks it's okay to keep ten-year old servers.

Well, I don't know if this answers the question... but why not create an inside version or something of the Chocobo Stables found in each city. They all usually have a blocked off door or something behind them.
Why not have the option, when you reach the entrance point that crosses into each city to be able to select Dismount or Enter Stables to interact with other players Chocobos, which would ALSO pave the way as a future area for breeding, raising, and feeding of Chocobos and other Chocobo raising players, similar to FF XI's stables.
I'm fine with chocobos in cities as long as it keeps you from going inside a building with them.
First of all, I'm not totally against the idea, and if it does happen I promise I won't get upset and whine about it.
That being said, the feature has no point. Having characters double their size to prance about the cities? That serves no purpose. Every city in the game is away from the roads, not a passage through it (save for LL but because it's by ship it doesn't really matter in this case) so having the Stork Stallions ride through them doesn't make much sense unless you where herding cattle or transporting large goods to somewhere at the back of the city. That's not very realistic or believable to me and if anything, it would hurt my immersion. I think just having stables near the city gates makes much more sense.
Now, I've played other MMO's that do let you ride into towns and cities, but they where either not as realisticly themed, the cities where the right size for mounts or otherwise, or they made sense in the context of the games' world. And they where all fine games. I just find it useless in this situation, unless they did add a good reason for you to move around town birdback.
Your idea of being "stuck in the past" is pretty shallow if it revolves around such useless features and gimmicks like that.
Not every little thing needs to be shiny and new. It's big features that make innovation matter, and they won't get innovation by miming features to a game that doesn't match their own structure.
If you're able to then that's okay. If not, who the f#*% cares, we're getting transportation. I also agree with the guy above me![]()
Well, after reading the latest news from Yoshi-p, i think would be really possibile in town,
3. Walking alongside a personal chocobo![]()
Screw you, being able to paint my Lalafell's nails any color I want is next gen and innovative.First of all, I'm not totally against the idea, and if it does happen I promise I won't get upset and whine about it.

Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
Now that sounds interesting. I like it.Well, I don't know if this answers the question... but why not create an inside version or something of the Chocobo Stables found in each city. They all usually have a blocked off door or something behind them.

Or how about they just let you dismount and mount whenever you want instead of trying to control and funnel every aspect of your life.Well, I don't know if this answers the question... but why not create an inside version or something of the Chocobo Stables found in each city. Well obviously it's a double edged blade. One must either sacrifice freedom, or one must sacrifice the perfect little dystopia where Chocobos are forbidden from entering towns.First of all, I'm not totally against the idea, and if it does happen I promise I won't get upset and whine about it.
